I finally got a pair of these today. I always wanted them back in the day but they were hard to find and a bit too expensive for a 13 year old's allowance. I am very gald to say I was not dissapointed.

So far, I just have Zaxxon and Missle Defence. Zaxxon kind of dissapointed me because I was expecting it to be more like the old Zaxxon just head on. I know, it kind of is, but it just feels different. The 3d effect is great though when you enter the fortress!

Missle Defence is really cool! I've actually found myself jumping back when one of the missles comes straight for the screen! As if I don't feel enough like a 'tard wearing these Yoko Ono glasses (which don't exactly fit over my normal specs) and waving a plastic gun around, now I'm jumping out of my chair too!

The only complaints I have are that they don't exactly fit over my glasses, as I just mentioned and they smell kind of weird. Anyone know how to get a funky musty smell outta these things??? :?

In short, to quote Ferris Bueller "They are sooo choice. I highly reccommend you pick one up if you have the means." Now, to find a copy of Maze Hunter!!!

Heh, I made basically the same post a couple of months ago!

Hey Cap'n, I've got a loose Maze Hunter 3-D, and a complete Blade Eagle 3-D I'd let go really cheap if you want them.

@Raccoon Lad, heh, thought I'd seen another post like that recently. Ahh, they really do rock though.

3D glasses is very cool, way ahead of its time. It's only a shame there isn't a single big WOW game to go with the glasses. 3D Maze Hunter is quite different but it tended to get a little dull after a while. Zaxxon 3D is great but not quite the same as the arcade version of Zaxxon. 3D Missle Defense do get repeative and dull so... :P

Space Harrier 3D is very hard and very challenging. I haven't played much of Poisedon Wars, Global Defense, or Blade Eagle 3D so I can't comment on it. There is 2 more 3D games I don't have: Out Run 3D (tried the emulator, no way it's worth the $100+ they go on eBay) and there's another game that isn't advertised as 3D but does have 3D support hidden. I can't remember the name of the game, something like Laser in the title.

EDIT: typo galore :P I do need bigger keyboard for fat fingers

That other 3D game you're thinking of is Line of Fire

Y'know it's funny: I saw a blurb on TechTV about how some company is bringing 3D to your PC uses glasses. Made it sound as if someone figgered it out yesterday or something.

I had a pair of the SMS glasses. While mine tended to malfunction, it was still pretty cool (until the right lens would go black...doh!).
