I'm looking to invest in a Wonderswan Color, and the most appealing games in it's library are the FF games.

I was wondering though, is all the text in the game in English or Japanese?

Also - I've noticed two types of color Wonderswan - the WonderSwan Color and the Swan Crystal - what is the major difference between these?

And also - could I get some recommendations as to which other games are the best on Wonderswan Color.

Thanks!

first things first: the text in all the ff ws games is in japanese. there are walkthroughs all over the place if you're not fluent in the language, but you'd really experience more if you were able to read a bit, right?. the ws color and crystal are pretty much the same unit, but i believe the crystal has a better screen.

VERY short list of good w/s games (the unit plays both the b+w* and colour titles):

front mission (great squaresoft strategy rpg- better than ff, imho)
blue wing blitz (squaresoft, again- srpg)
clock tower (remake of super famicom horror game)*
gun pey (fun puzzler by the late gumpei yokoi- come in b+w or color versions)
wizardry (has english language option)
rockman & bass"
puzzle bobble*
tetsujin 28*
makaimura (ghosts 'n goblins)*
final lap*
there are a couple of mobile suit gundam games also (with regular and SD characters) that are pretty good as well. there are more quality titles too- i'm just going off the top of my head here...

I second Gunpey and Makaimura. I only own those 2 games for my B+W Wonderswan, but they're great and VERY low on text.
