Well the title tells it all.
I thought id make a thread for people to show off their memorabillia collections, and talk about how collected it.

While were on the topic...anyone know of any good places to get old video game memorabillia? Im a new collector LOL

Where to get old video game memorabilia......Of course you should check the buy and sell forum. This stuff comes from everywhere though. Check thrift stores, pawn shops, yard sales/garage sales, used book stores, antique stores, friends , neighbors, parents, grandparents, put an ad in the local paper, check ebay. You can find just about anything you want if you apply yourself. Don't expect it just to fall in your lap. Also surf all the video game web sites you can (many have forums or a buy, sell, trade section). Do you have a Gamestop or EB? Visit frequently and get to know the people who work there, you can probably get new stuff from them. Also remember that some toys come from McDonalds or Wendys or another fast food place in the kids meals. Before long you too can have more stuff than you have room to show off in.

I always go by a rule, which I call "Nintendan's rule". Most ppl collect stuff that is special to them (for me, it's Nintendo goodies). BUT, I will buy stuff even if i don't want them (e.g. pac man plushies). With this rule, you can accumulate up a good "stock" of stuff to trade for stuff you want. I guess it's not a rule, just something I do.

I have a nice collection of video game press kits. If I can ever get off my butt and buy new camera batteries I'd take some pics.

Well, I mostly do action figures and the like, but I do have oddball signs and stuff. Most I just bought off the shelf. The signs, flyers, posters and other odd stuff I usually got from work or freinds. That new E-bay category really rocks though. There's always some good stuff in the VG memorabilia section.

I like those goods almost even more then the games. To bad here in europe they don't have much stuff that is offerd (by eBay or so), but i have some nice items (Mario telephone, 2 Nikko Mario R/C karts from the SNES era), i'm love to have more of it but when i see something mosttimes its to expensive.

The guy at my local EB alwats knew how to get more cash out of me. I have ALWAYS been a sucker for "Extra Goodies" when you prepay for a game. These are usually offerd by companies like Square and Working designs. I have some nice things from those companies. Squaresoft even sent me a 4 disk Music CD collection for FF8 just for being signed up for the website at the time. The things I collect are usually closly related to the games I love. RPG's and such.

Now every time I go walking into EB though, I hear "Hey you can get free goodies if you just prepay for <Insert Game Name Here>)

I've got a large plastic Wonderboy wall hanging! It's the same as the Wonderboy on the cover for Wonderboy 3 the Dragons Trap for the Master System.

I got it off ebay, from a dude in Australia... it suffered a couple of cracks en-route though :(

But it rocks!!!!!!!! :eek 2:

I've been starting a small but proud RPG plush collection to go with my normal video game collection. Of course I only have 5 guys now but I'd probably have more if I didn't find UFO Catchers so incredibly ugly and if I didn't keep spending my money on the actual games. :P

You can see a few of the little guys in this picture. But I've since gotten a Final Fantasy Moogle.
