When is the best day to have your auctions end? What's the best time for them to end?

I've always tried to make mine end on Friday or Sunday. What are your choices, and the logic behind them?

I would guess a saturday. Ton of people are off work. Prime time to 6-8 PM. Thats ending.

I see alot ending Sunday night.. that's where I tend to go. But, it really doesn't matter anymore with the sniping software anyway..

I tend to offer BIN auctions when I can, and just get a fair deal out of the way.

I like ending them at about 9pm ET, 6 pacific. Most people are home on Sunday evening after supper and don't really have much going on. But, as mentioned, it doesn't really matter too much.

I would say any weeknight at a reasonable time or anytime on the weekend. Lots of people are at school / work during the day and usually are free at night and on the weekend. I have won quite a few auctions at a decent price because they ended during the day time hours when most people are not at a computer.

Supposedly, eBay's highest traffic times are Sunday evenings, between 8 and 10:00 EST.

I have sold many items on Ebay and this is what Ive found:

I would say the best time to end an aucttion would be 7pm to 11pm.

The best day to end an auction is Sunday.

Sniping software is used more when the auction ends during the week because people are usually working.

People with low feedback that use BIN are a pain in the ass. Next time you use Buy it now and take paypal as payment, require immediate payment thru paypal. It is an option when you are listing an item and its free. A lot of people see Buy it now. and buy it without thinking if they can afford it or if they really want it.

Just my 2.3 cents...

When I used to sell, I liked having my auctions end Saturday night, it gave them all day Sunday to pay by Paypal, and I had a whole day to work on packaging things up

I usually have a lot of auctions listed every week. I have tried all different days and times. I have had some good luck listing auctions on Friday afternoons lasting 1 week. I guess a lot of people are watching eBay at the end of the work week. I also have had a lot of luck listing on Sunday afternoons (1 week auctions), but it has to be late enough that the people on the west coast can catch it. For the most part I do have my auctions end between 8 p.m and 10:30 p.m. Central Standard Time on Sunday evenings. The only problem with the Sunday night auctions is that sometimes they get buried.

I list almost everyone of my items with a buy it now. It has worked for me.

Avoid holidays when people usually spend time away from the computer: Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day are not good. Also, be mindful of major events like the Super Bowl.

I'm with Dave on this one. Yes ebay has more traffic during the weekend, but there is also a ton more items that close during that time (ie. more competition to get a buyer's attention). When I did lots of auctions on ebay a few years ago, my auctions in the middle of the week always did better than the one's that ended on the weekend. You just need to have them close late enough that everyone is home from work (later than 6 PST at a minimum). Just my thoughts.

Yup, I'm with those that say midweek aswell. Less auctions=more attention for those that are there. I know I'm more likely to look at stuff throught the week, since I'm usually busy at weekends.
I don't think there's any great science to it really, though. I'm sure a nice-looking listing, description and picture will affect the final price much more than the day of the week.
