Genesis 1, 2, and 3 question

[The Clonus Horror]

I have a Genesis 2, with a/v cable. When I start up, there are noticeable vertical lines when there is a black screen or background (they are much less noticeable when the actual game starts and there are multiple colors on the screen). I don't remember having this problem on the Genesis 1 and I've never had a Genesis 3, though I'd like to pick one up to save a little space. What are your thoughts/recommendations on this subject?

I haven't noticed any black vertical lines personally on my Genny 3, and for space I highly recommend getting one. It also seems to be a bit more reliable than my Genny 1 and 2 have been in the past.
