When the sale is or what it's going to be? They aren't sure yet, but he told me to check back regularly for it.

But even with a major "clear 'em all out" sale, $1.00 seems a bit low for non-sports stuff. For some reason imo I just don't see them going that low.

First, It's "they're" .........Second, my gamestop would never have this sale since they haven't had anything pre-64/PSX in about 2 years or so. They don't even carry anything dreamcast. And neither do any of their affiliates within an hour, so somebody please get a good deal for me :(

Last summer here in Albuquerque was when all the Gamestops - five or so - blossomed up pretty much overnight. I thought I knew where they all were until last weekend, when I "unlocked" the secret Gamestop, which ironically turned out to be closer to my house than any of the others I've been frequenting :roll: Go figure...

Anyway, as luck would have it, this is the one store to which all the other GS's have transferred their classic inventories, including Dreamcast stuff, which I plan on liberally looting for a buck a title if it comes to that.

Needless to say I will be watching for this alleged sale like a hawk. :eek 2:

I went around scarfing up "classic games" at various GameStop's the week they were to ship 'em out (caught MOST of them before doing so. Missed Dreamcast stuff at one store, Genesis at one store, and one store I missed EVERYTHING (bummer on this one!). Not too bad, for 5 or 6 stores I checked.

Sundays and Wednesdays? Hmmmm... Other than a couple of the stores which shipped out to a store 1.5 hours from here, the rest shipped out to a store only about a half hour away. Wasn't anything left I would buy at the normal GameStop prices (too expensive), but if they are $1 or so, I WILL buy all those games that were priced at $8.99 previously.

Anyways, what I do with these sales is go find whatever I dont have that's cheap - .99-3.99 and buy those. 3 2.99 games during this sale makes the games 2.00 each. Not bad. Just go with the cheapest stuff you don't own.

I doubt I will buy any SNES games from them because the ones i need are ridiculously priced at their store. I want SMW 2: yoshi island which is $18, Contra 3 also $18. THose two alone would be $36 together and I probably won't find another SNES game I'd want. I'll just keep checking the pawn shops that sell SNES for $5.

I had heard about this sale back in February after the 21st when I went to go buy my Super Mario Allstars + Super Mario World game...I called every week to check when they would start that sale...but the last time i called which was about 2 1/2 weeks ago...someone told me "Who told you that???" "I've heard of no such sale," so I told him that I had been told from someone else at that store and 2 other stores...so I stopped calling...then today I called to check to see if they had a certain game, and they told me all the stores had transfered all the "old" gaming things to 2 of their largest stores, which are pretty close to me...so I dunno I'm hoping someone lets us know of this sale before hand if they get a lil "tip" from someone that works there :D
