No, not that joystick.... :P

I just bought this for my X-Arcade:

Now, I have a few questions. First, how do I get the old one out from my X-Arcade? There 4 black screws holding it in (on the top surface) that have no way of undoing, at least with any screwdriver I own.

Second, the one there in the E-bay link seems to "fall through" the hole and can't make contact with the switches. The little plastic piece that would normally make contact falls down. It's fine when I held it upside down.

I knew I should've asked my freind who did this a week ago before he went on vacation... Thanks!

When you open the case up, the stick on the screws by washers. I think they're 10mm.

The old one can be removed from the bottom of the box.
It should be just four standard nuts.

You will need to unassemble the old one before removing.
Just take the E-Clip off with a pliers.
Be careful, the clip might shoot across the room.. watch the eyeballs.
Take the parts off one by one and note their order for reassembly.

Check out the exploded view and make sure you have all the parts on your new joystick.

Bolt the square base to the panel first, then assemble the joystick with spacers etc.
It comes with two spacers, one for wood panels and one for metal panels. You won't need both.
And you need to place the E-Clip in the
appropriate slot on the shaft depending on the spacer.

The hour glass shaped piece that activates the switches is the actuator and can be flipped for 4 or 8way mode.

I hope that I didn't confuse you more, let me know if you can't get it.
