PWNED (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1390456011) :)

If someone squeals or he just finds out and revises the item, I've got a mirror here (http://www.rahga.com/temp2/)....

I tip my hat to you sir. I always love it when people get revenge like this and you might even turn it into a sale for you! Way to go!

Awesome, just as good as the motherboard auction recently. :D

No, the Motherboard auction is frickin HILARIOUS. I showed it to my boss, even though she's told me to shop buying crap on Ebay while I'm at work. Of course, I catch her constantly looking at make-up and china, so we're even.

Still, this kind of revenge is great. They (the original sellers) could have easily copied the image and uploaded it, but they screwed themselves by being LAZY.

How do you find out if someone is linking to an image you might have online? :? Just curious...

I've got a page on my site that will list everytime my images, links are used. And what site they are from.

The best way to get back at an image thief is to just report them to Ebay. It is against policy and they WILL BE BANNED for it. I've personally seen people banned for image thieving, ebay takes it more seriously than you would think.

Of course, this way is a LOT more fun and satisfying :)

"Right click" on it and select "Properties" and you will see the link !

Well yeah I know that. :P, but you'd have to be at that page linking to it to see that. My point is how would you know if there WAS a page with a link to your pics wherever they are.

Is there some code you can use to see if a pic you have on your webspace is being mass linked to by an external site (like ebay) for example?

If you have your own server and a good admin tool, usually it'll have an option to view the top referrals for an image or web page. If you see a referral from an ebay auction, then you know that image is being pulled from that address.

I recall an unusual picture leeching incident a few years ago (I think it was in RGVC) that someone switched a leeched picture with one of a tight closeup of venusvus flytrap and a caption that read something like eating any eBay seller who steals picture. I think this one was the first reported picture leeching by a classic game seller.

Anyone still get that picture?
