Okay, I've never gotten any import games before but I found 2 today at Goodwill and I want to know what to do to get them to play on my NES. When I put them in, the screen flashes but the "on" flash isn't the "gray screen o' death", it's the game. They will not, however, stop flashing so that I can play. What do I do? Also, the games are Gulf Wars (Cabal) and something that says TMNT Lollipop on the relabel but has TMNT I/II Burning Combat written on the end label....does anyone know anything about or the value of these? I'll probably trade them....

Thanks!

So, are these Famicom games? Then do you have a convertor? Make sure both it and the carts are clean.

I would be interested in them.

Are they Fami Carts or NES carts?

Stupid question...how do I tell the difference???

I response to the above post...both the carts and my system have both been cleaned well so that's not the problem....

Famicom carts are usually smaller than NES games (generally half the size of an NES cart)

Then they're NES carts because they're the same size and shape as NES carts. One of the carts has "SPICA" imprinted on the back and the other says "SUPERVISION". They also each have 4 regular philips-head screws holding them together instead of the 2 special screws that NES carts have...if that helps. :)

Like this :

But you probably need a good clean-up of your NES connectors and even replace it with a new one.

They sound like HK pirates to me but I could be wrong....pics would help immensely.

I am still interested in them. They just need a good cleaning and a little bit of wiggling. They are easier to use on a top loading NES.
