I got on to a subject a while back about characters that my friends and I were having about the most hated characters. well it got me to saying that no one hates Kirby. I have asked anybody and everybody, and no one hates Kirby. So what im posting is, is there anybody that truly hates Kirby. and If you like him post too.

KIRBY ROCKS.

I'm not too fond of the cartoon that's on TV nowadays.

but I can't say I hate him either...it's just one of those under the radar issues

Yeah, everyone loves Kirby....if you're blinded by your Nintendo Fan-boyism.

:above me:

I dunno, something about that line that made me laugh. Anyway, Kirby rules, nuff said. Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby Super Star are two of the greatest platformers ever on the Super NES, and same goes with Kirby's Adventure on the not-Super NES. Plus, he's one of my favorites in Super Smash Bros. Mr. Game and Watch Kirby is so kawaii! :)

I gotta admit that I'm not overly crazy about the cartoon though... the plots hardly seem to revolve about Kirby at all. :o

Tommy Tallarico of Judgement Day on G4 hates Kirby, while Victor Lucas can't get enough of him.

Pink Kirby's alright, but the original WHITE Kirby is where it's at. He's one tough creme puff. :-P

I love Kirby... especially Kirby Superstar. I try to never spend more than $20 for an SNES game, but this warranted the $30 purchase.

I don't mind Kirby, but he isn't one of my favorite Nintendo characters either. I like Kirby's Adventure on the NES, and his original GameBoy games are pretty good too. I never really got into the SNES platforming one (Kirby's Dream Land 3?). Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land is a cool update of the NES game for the GBA.

do you mean the same Tallarico that does music for games?

That's the one. He's co-host of JD with Victor Lucas.

Yea, that Kirby is alright. I love the old commercial where it says he's one tough creme puff.

How could you not like Kirby?

I've never seen the cartoon, though.

That's probably a GOOD thing. After about 4 episodes, I just couldn't bare to watch anymore. It's too bad saturday mornings are filtered with poorly voiced and written, cheesy anime videogame filler shows... I'd like to see another North American produced game show someday.

Kirby is the man. He is my favorite video game character, and his games rock. I can't say that about the TV show though. I was waiting for a long time for the TV show to come out, and it was a big disappointment. Kirby's greatest game is definitely Kirby's Super Star for SNES.

I've been thinking of getting the old (and the upcoming) Kirby GBA games. I played a demo of the new one, and it's unfortunately not a platformer. Can anyone comment on the previously released Kirby GBA game?

Kirby WAS great until that stupid show. Now I don't know what to think.

ok lets base Kirby on his games and the character himself. Not the cartoon that just pictured him.

I love kirby!!! Kirby's games are some of the greatest platformers ever created, with Kirby Super Star & Kirby 64 being my two favorites. I'm also anxiously awaiting the new kirby games for DS & GCN.

So, in conclusion, Kirby rocks!!!! :D

Yes, Kirby rocks. While his games are quite a bit on the easy side (well, the platformers are, the spin-offs can be quite challenging), they are still highly enjoyable to play. Solid games, and his absorbtion abilities rock!

Tommy Tallarico of Judgement Day on G4 hates Kirby,

No wonder I hate that guy. :D

Seriously, is there any character (save Mario) in the Nintendo stable that is not more likeable than Kirby?

I also think kirby sucks I did like the animation in the one kirby game where it looked as if a hamster was giving him backdoor or something

other than that meh  game is just missing that certain something doesn't grab my attention

Kirby's cool. I wish I could find Dream Land 3 around here.

And I own it now. :) Fun game too. The only other Kirby game I own at the moment is Kirby Super Star, and that's a fun title too. I'd like to check out Kirby's Dream Course and Kirby's Air Ride someday.

No love for the original GameBoy Kirby game? Sure it's very long and very easy, but it's just so much fun to play and is still one of the best Kirby's. I gotta get Kirby uperstar too, I have played it before and it really is addictive! 8-)

Kirby's Adventure on the NES is a masterpiece. It looks almost exactly like the SNES version that came later. Amazing they filled the whole cartridge with a circuit board and chips to give it enough to look that good on the NES. I don't own a cartridge copy, I wish I did. I must have passed up an overpriced cart only at Game Stop a dozen times. I hope it is available on the Revolution for download. I truly do. Same with the SNES version of Kirby which I actually do own and loved every minute of it back in the day.

The music from all the games is very pleasant. I like it a lot.

Back in the day, for a good report card, I wanted Kirby's Dream Land for Game Boy, but my parents couldn't get a copy so they asked for a second choice. I took Kirby's Pinball Land. I enjoyed the hell out of it. I never did get KDL, but would love to eventually. My favorite music in the Pinball game was from the tree course. I have always loved that tune. I always listen for it in every Kirby game. (It's the tune remixed in this song: http://www.ocremix.org/detailmix.php?mixid=OCR00612 )

I enjoy the exploits of the pink powderpuff ball. It's just a shame Nin Ten Do doesn't tout the character as much as their others (meaning, I'd rather them release 8 Kirby games than 8 Mario games this year... but then again, Mario is Nin Ten Do's big pull, so if they'd release one more Kirby game this year and one less Mario game, I'd feel it as more balanced).

As a character, I don't hate him, but I'm not especially crazy about him either. There's only so much I can like something that's bright pink. :P And yes, the show blows.

However, Kirby games rock. :) You pretty much always know you're in for something good when a game stars Kirby. I played the heck out of Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby's Pinball Land, Kirby's Block Ball, and Kirby Super Star as a child, and just last summer I finally got Kirby 64. While I don't own them yet, Kirby's Adventure and Kirby's Dream Land 3 rock too, and style of graphics in Dream Land 3 is just stunning.

Back in high school, I remember someone pointing out that Kirby games tend to get released on systems which are about to croak. He's a pudgy pink Grim Reaper, he is!

Not too hot for the games. Kirby's Adventure seems too easy, though it's beautiful and the music is fantastic. I'm probably missing something...

That's why the Game Boy (Original died right after the original came out.. well, later on after its sequel came out years later and a Pinball version did too.

Oh, and that one for the GameCube, whatever happened to that system?

Oh, and that one game that killed the Game Boy Advance. Oh, and that new one coming out that'll kill the DS.

Your "friend" is an ignorant moron. Sorry, but he/she is. I fyou ever see him again, let him know I said that. LOL :P
