I have returned after a lengthy hiatus to a project wherein I'm trying to get a 2600 jr modded for AV output. I was following these instructions (http://www.atariage.com/howto/composite.html) as a guide. I'm getting a signal with decent color but it's not a very clean signal. Does anyone know what I might be able to do to clean it up? Thanks.

Try a more complex mod perhaps? Ben's is supposed to be simple yet effective, found *here* (http://www.classicgaming.com/vcsp/HowToMAIN.htm). I'm going to try it soon I think. There's also a good site *here* (http://www.cheeptech.com/2600mods/2600mods.shtml) that compares different mods.

Heh, the wonders of the search button - it's months late, but a response is there nonetheless!

I used Ben's mod like 2 years ago, my atari works great. Only thing is it's a bit too dark. Maybe shorter rca cables or turning up the pots will work. I need to open up the case soon and clean the switches so I'll tweak it some more.

Otherwise the video is crisp and I have no complaints.

I understand the svideo mod board is the absolute best way to go. Also, the mod in that atari age link is one of the worst, from what my research showed when I looked into this a while ago.
