I have an Odyssey 2 with the voice add-on for it and I asked how much mine was worth when I first started coming to DP. The response I got was about $20-25.

Yea you can get a boxed one with games on Ebay for $20 + shipping.

Not a high demand for them. :o

at flea markets and such i have only ever seen 1 complete odyssey 2 game, but i have seen a lot of just carts.

i dont know if it is just my area or not, but i was lucky enough that my parents bought a bunch of games for it, including a challenge series game which comes in a large box along with a detailed manual, gameboard, and game pieces as well as a keyboard overlay

Odyssey 2... my first game system. But, it, and Pik-Axe-Pete are now gone forever.

I think I need a moment alone... excuse me. :(

Keep an eye out for the Odyssey 2 with silver controllers, not black. The later version with silver contollers is much harder to find but it has detachable (i.e. replaceable) controllers. The black controllers are hard wired. Just a little FYI for people.

Pick Axe Pete....a classic game...if you see that one for sale you should pick it up. It's a really fun game to play.

You paid what it's worth, a great system to own all boxed up like that for $20. The Odyssey2 is still one of vintage gaming's best bargains.

Better still, you shouldn't have a problem coming up with 20 or so games, boxed, at no more than $2 apiece. I haven't checked eBay recently but for a long long time these were available by the steamshovel-full.

Most importantly, have fun with it!

Agreed, I love the O2. If you can ever grab the voice unit, be sure to do it. It's a lot of fun.
