I have a Japanese PS2 demo disc which has demo levels of both Parappa 2 and Ape Escape. Both games feature McDonald's -- Parapps's level takes place in a McDonald's kitchen, and in Ape Escape there are McDonald's signs in the background. I don't own either of the games and don't know if they are in the final versions or not.

Hey Flack, both versions of the game are special for that Happy Disc. Instead of hearts, you collect burgers in Pipo Saru 2001, and the background is different in the Parappa game too, much more McDonald's looking. There are other, minor differences too, but I can't remember them right now. That disc was a contest disc in Japan. There was a McDonald's promotion, like a scratch n win. That disc wasn't too hard to get, so it did have a decent print run, but not huge. Both games are not in the final versions in that form.

All the Tony Hawk games have skateboards by official skating companies and logos plastered all over the levels. That's the only thing I can think of that hasn't been mentioned.

Like racing games, many extreme sports games, snowboarding and biking, also feature name brand products.
Movies and TV... mehbee, that's almost worthy of it's own topics though and it's not quite the same as a game based on a snack food, beverage, or a fine dining establishment like McD's. ;)

One of the levels in Disneys Extreme Skate Adventure has so many blatant plugs, it made me want to vomit.
"I just got a Nokia E550 cellular phone, please help me locate 5 downloadable ringtones"
or
"Please take this Super sized Big Mac meal to that Sailor"
Just :puke:

In reference to the Crazy Taxi mention earlierby evilmess Dont forget Tower Records, and yes they had Levi's too.
Spot Goes to Hollywood (PSOne)
M&M's Shell Shocked (PSOne)
Kurt Warners Arena Football Unleashed (PSOne) had billboards for Wherehouse Music along the sides of the field (this was the only company advertisment except for Miday who produced the game)
There is also often a lot of cross promotion in a game, for other games that are by the developer/publisher on billboards and stuff.
Give me a little time, i'll figure out some more.

Global Gladiators
Bubba N Stix for Genesis (for some bubblegum company)
Treasure Kid for the NES was going to have a Pizaa Hut promotion that didn't come through (there's a hidden sprite in the game with the logo)
and there was a SNES/genesis game based off that guy that appeared in the sprite commercials... the jaggedy cartoon one. I never saw anything else for it, except an ad in an old gaming magazine, so it might've been cancelled before release.

I remember a few kids at my school talking about the Buddy Lee Challenge, where you actually get to play as a pair of running pants, like the ones from stage 6 of Monster Party. But I'm not sure if they were talking about an actual game... real or not, I like the idea. LOL
Shaq Fu had Pepsi all over it
