Were there any major differences between the GEN and SNES versions of this game? If I remember correctly, Genesis had an extra stage in one of the EJ games... right?

thanks.

I might as well chip in and ask about the first one, also. LOL

From what I've been told, the Genny EJ (1) had voice samples of 'damn' when you got hit, and this wasn't in the SNES version. ???.

[Earthworm Jim]
SNES more colors but somewhat sluggish control
GEN better control and an extra level
SEGA CD (Special Ed) yet another extra level better special effects and CD quality audio

dunno about the damn...

[Earthworm Jim 2]
GEN solid
SNES more colors, just as good control, and the ability to cycle through weapons.
SATURN different cow animations (other changes???)

The Genesi version had some kind of level where u had to use the helicopter thing through the whole level since all the walls are covered in spikes.

I had Earthworm Jim: The WHole Can O' Worms for the PC (which was just both console games) and I remember when you played that it certainly sounded like he said "damn" only he prnounced two syllable style like
"die-yum"

If I remember correctly the Genesis version had better control and just seemed more fluid overall
actually I always read that the Sega CD version was the best that and the Saturn version of EWJ2
