Before Wipeout, PSYGNOSIS was one of the kings of AMIGA and ATARI ST games. While playability wasn't always their strong suit, cool graphics and sound were.

So what are some of your favorite and least favorite PSYGNOSIS games?

My obvious one is Lemmings, a great classic puzzle game ported to just about everything.

I also enjoy:
Anarchy (excellent defender clone/update)
Awesome (cool space shooter with interesting camera panning and "Awesome" music)
Leander (very cool playable platformer)
Shadow of the Beast (crazy hard but beautiful graphics)

Cheers,
Ben

Man, Psygnosis made some truly excellent games... insanely hard, but excellent nonetheless. Almost all of them had a distinct look to their graphics so you always knew when you were playing a Psygnosis game (was this a specific artist that worked for them?).

I'd have to say Awesome and Shadow of the Beast were my favorites. Blood Money and Killing Game Show were good too.

Although there were tons, my favorite was Nitro... an awesome 3-player driving top view driving game, followed up by Armour-Geddon.

Awesome, Blood Money, The Killing Game Show, and Shadow of the Beast are my favorites. I still have all four in various incarnations. Great great stuff. Least favorites: Barbarian, Armor-Geddon, Orbitus, Cygnus, and a few others. Bleah.

Psygnosis did some amazing stuff for the ST and Amiga. Loved the artwork, both in-game and on the boxes.

Favorite game: Baal
Least favorite: Barbarian
