TRU is having a buy one get one free sale on their value rack software. Its usually located outside the RZone, and the games have a distinct yellow value software sticker.

Games I remember off hand:

Mojo
Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland
Maestro
Metropolismania
Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution
Butt Ugly Martians
SSX
Stretch Panic
Scooby Doo

and a whole bunch of others.

Prices range from 19.99 to 9.99

Not as good as their earlier buy any 2 get any one game free sale, but still nice.

Were they just PS2 games or were PSone games included?

Xbox games don't work for the sale. They won't ring up. Believe me, I tried it.

No, those would/should be cleared out sepereately. A lot of stores (not mine!) have clearanced the games to $4.90 or $2.90 each, but thats as good a deal as you're going to get.

And I think jose is right. I think I remember seeing in the ad that it was only PS1 and PS2 games. The only XBox game I remember the title of was Mojo, and I passed (its $10 cheape on PS2).

Not as good? This sale is much better! Buy 1 get 1 at $9.99 = $5 per game. Granted, you're not buying GTA3VC at that price, but it's a lot cheaper than getting three "new, hit" games for $100.

*EDITED* with an updated list!

Here's what I saw there today.. they added some, and some were sold out:

Ace Combat 4
Jak and Daxter
Devil May Cry
Hitman 2
Nascar: Dirt to Daytona
Spy Hunter
Crazy Taxi
Parappa the Rapper 2
Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero
Test Drive: Dare Devil
Test Drive
Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland
Mojo
Metropolismania
Mad Maestro
Tekken Tag
Bloody Roar 3
Burnout
18 Wheeler
Ejay Clubworld
Music Maker
Baulder's Gate: Dark Alliance
Gran Turismo 2 (PS1)
Tony Hawk 3 (PS1)
Blaster Master (PS1)

and still yet many, many more. You have to dig through the games to find them all, and as long as it has a different barcode sticker on the back of the packaging (on the plastic), it should be included. The guy at my TRU said Devil May Cry, Hitman 2, and Jak and Daxter weren't included, as they were still in the Greatest Hits endcap (where the demo system is), but I found copies of all three that rang up as part of the sale. They had the sticker, the ones that he said wouldn't be included didn't have it.

Also, an addition about the sticker. You have to find it in the rack with the other games.. they're in a different style plastic casing than the hard shell that most TRU games are in. I found a copy of Hitman 2 with the different UPC sticker on the back, but it was in the regular aisle in the hard plastic shell, and it didn't ring up as a part of the sale. I tried to get it anyway because there were copies of it that were included in the sale, but he wouldn't let me. You should be able to argue it with them if you really want one of those games though, because it's dumb for half of the copies of the game to be included in the sale, and the other half not.

Anyone know what games are 9.99?

Well, there really weren't too many.

Some were 14.99.. Metropolismania comes to mind, along with Stretch Panic.

The music games (Ejay Clubworld, Music Maker) were all 9.99, along with Mad Maestro and Mojo. However, both TRU's here have copies of Mad Maestro.. some at 9.99, and some at 19.99. I think they all ring up at 9.99 though. A few PS1 games were 9.99 too.. Blaster Master, Grand Turismo 2, and some other not quite so good games.

There really weren't a lot of 9.99'ers though. Most PS1 are 14.99 and most PS2 are 19.99.
