Wow, 100 copies of Sonic the Hedgehog 2! I can hardly contain myself!

ebgames has lost it, who is going to buy 100 preplayed copies of sonic 2 for genesis. don't get me wrong, its an amazing game, but fuck, even a game store won't know what to do with that many (hence that may be why ebgames is selling it).

100 loose Genny carts. The mind boggles at the opportunities.

Such as.. swapping out the good backs for cracked or damaged cart halves in your keepsies library!

Lining the floor of a room with them or getting naked in a bathtub full of Sonic 2 and taking pictures of said historic events!

Excellent resource for homebrewing your own games except that the Genesis dev community is non-existant!

Throwing them at people to inflict pain!

Promotional / contest hand outs at a convention or something!

Nailing them to the wall!

I'm running out of steam!

The real question is - what CAN'T I do with them?

And I've been outbid. Jesus, that may just be too steep for my bank account.

Good luck getting them to honor that $5 shipping.

Its EB games doing the auction... What they'll probably do is ship them to your closest EB for the 5 bucks... That or since they do so much in shipping theyve got a good deal with FedEX or UPS or whoever does their shipping so they can afford to ship them for 5 bucks. Come on think about it, do you think that they really want a GRIP of Sonic 2 games, cluttering their warehouses??? I think theyd take a small loss to ship them.

That's pretty much what I thought when I saw this auction- the buyer is doing EB a favor here by swallowing what is essentially a box of crap. They don't even have the clamshell cases.

Actually whoever wins this auction I could use a loose Sonic 2 cart if the label's really nice. Mine's off-center. Better be a freebie though, I'd be doing -you- a favor by taking one off your hands. :D

Im winning I would love to have a mass amount of carts liek that. The possibiltys are endless. My carts are already on the way for the SMB/DH table.

More and more possibilities:

- Make a plate of armor
- Burn them (fire is good)
- Eat them (if you are that hungry)
- Dump them into a landfill out in the desert ;)
- Throw them into a woodchipper
- Use one as a belt buckle
- Throw them at the wall (for no reason)
- Actually play the game

While the price still seems reasonable at a quarter a piece, somehow the lump sum of 25 bucks (considering shipping) does not make the affair seem so appealing anymore.

It IS 100 copies of Sonic 2 after all. I'd stop bidding for now and wait til the end... just going to drive your final price up.

If you burn these, you'll be increasing the rarity of Sonic 2. And, if you remember the episode of South Park where Cartman buys a themepark... you should use the "You can't have one!" marketing straegy. Burn a couple, sell a couple, and you'll have people flooding to buy carts.

I WON! Mymax bid was $50. I guess I paid a littl more then I wanted. But it is pretty cool for under $560 bucks.
