About the same as you. Like the Sega CD Silpheed, it looks great (well, the older one for it's time) but once you get past the wow factor, there's not a lot of substance.

Sidenote: this was supposed to be a launch title and I think it took Working Designs an extra 6 months to finally bring this one to market. Anyone know why? (I know, that's "Wanking Delays" for you, but still, it's not like this had all the swag they are fond of throwing in or was a text heavy RPG. I really appreciated WD bringing these kind of games to US when they didn't tamper with them too much *cough*Silouette Mirage*cough* but their delays are unjustified in a case like this.)

Well, I read in the liner notes that they removed some slowdown. I don't know how long it should take to do such a thing, though. I still do see a little slowdown now and then, but reviews of the JP version say it was out of control.

The Silpheed series seem to get watered down with each sequel. Silpheed The Super Dogfighter on DOS was a much better game.

Eye candy...but a solid shooter...I enjoyed it.
