You are cordially invited to the First Annual Digital Press On-Line HalloSCREAM Party!

Who: You, you raving beast!
When: This Friday, Oct. 25. Doors open at 8 p.m. EST
Where: In the vbender chat room!

At that posted time, the doors to the party will swing open and all members of DP are invited to party all day and all FRIGHT! We will have virtual munchies on-hand, but you'll have to supply your own "real-world" beverage of choice! Play "Monster Mash" on your stereo or perhaps have "Halloween" playing on the DVD player when you log in! You set the tone at home, we'll do the rest on-line!

Everyone who attends is encouraged, no REQUIRED, to arrive "in costume." In other words, your screen name is who you are for the evening. Stay in character as best you can! Don't give away your true identity if possible! There will be a "Costume Contest" during the evening, so see what you can come up with!

Also, thoughout the evening, we'll be playing a variety of Halloween party games for cool prizes! Bone up on your Halloween trivia! Research obscure videogames! Even if you don't win, I guarantee that the party games will be worth the price of admission (which is FREE, you know)!

We'd like to launch this as the first of a series of on-line Holiday functions, so dust off your satin cape and plastic fangs, set a bowl of candy corn by the monitor, dim the lights, and come to the best on-line HalloSCREAM Party DP's ever thrown!

Nope! Costumes can be anyone or anything! All we ask is that you remain in the costume you initially arrive in. Also, try to keep your true identity a secret as long as you can! Best costume wins a cool prize!

And, in Seattle, let's see, that'd be 4 or 5 p.m., right? My guess is that the party will go on for several hours, so join us when you can!

I can't be online with you... My computer crash yesturday.

I lost most of my data including source code of my newest gamre creation : ColecoVision Gamepack.
I lost so many important things for me in this stupid crash.

My backup I made in many CD this summer doesn't give me the most recent files I added in my harddisk. Yes! my hard disk crash! It's the secondary hard disk drive... the most important. The bios doesn't recognize it. Windows only want to run in safe mode. I have no more internet. I lost all my e-mails, all my pictures, all my roms, I lost everything except my mind.

I think I don't need any more horror to scream before Halloween.

Bingo! Log into the chat "in costume." SpeedRacer; SwampThing; M.Bison; etc. Then, remain "in character" as best you can. Post messages in "that character's "voice." Answer as that character would. Whenever you "do something" at the party, try to keep it in character.

For example:
SpeedRacer: I hope the party ends soon! I have to tune up the Mach 5 for the Big Race tommorrow!
<SpeedRacer adjusts his red ascot, winks at Trixie, and gets another cup of punch.>


Also, what kind of prizes?

Ah! You'll have to show up to find out! Videos, toys, games, cool stuff. And the contests and party games get increasingly harder as the evening wanes on (and the prizes get increasingly better)!
