I have a few posts going on KLOV about this and others. I was hoping to stumble across someone that might know the game, and this is the only other forum whose members might be able to ID it.

The game is called Demon by Thomas Automatics Inc (http://www.klov.com/manuf_detail.php?letter=T&manuf_id=1687)
Here (http://img31.photobucket.com/albums/v92/fossa1/P3070007.jpg) is a pic of the marquee. I haven't got the game working yet to even see if that is the game that came inside the cab.

Anyone know what it is?

Looking around PlayAgain.net I see that a game titled simply "Demon" shows up in MAME .80 (it's been many revisions since I downloaded a new ROM or even a new version of MAME, though, and PlayAgain's ROM downloads never work right these days).

It could be what you're looking for. I like that marquee, too.

It's a vector-game by Rock-ola that is listed on mame (and that one is rare and valuable-I wish that was the one). I found some old arcade games in a barn and this one has me stumped as to what it is. I want to get the game running and play it. But a member of KLOV has offered to dump the rom for me, at worst.

But then there's also the chance that the board inside is Capcom's 1942 according to one post. I hope not...I'd love to contribute a new game to MAME. :P

I'm not sure I understand the question!

What are you asking? It seems you've already ID'ed the game. Are you trying to confirm if the game marquee you've got in the pic above matches the ROM in MAME? I can check that out, others here are probably already all over it :)

Sorry Joe for the confusion. I started a mess (literally-a mess) of posts when I found a bunch of acrade cabs in a run-down barn. Basically I just want to know why it is not on KLOV or MAME. I mean, it seems like it is unique. I have no Idea of even the genre of game. If it is cool i'll keep it, since it seems unique.

Are you trying to confirm if the game marquee you've got in the pic above matches the ROM in MAME? Nope. I have mame .78, so unless .80 has it, then I've already checked. The only demon game listed in KLOV or MAME is the rare Rock-Ola vector game. Unfortunately, this isn't it. I doubt it is worth anything, I just want to know if anyone has seen/played/owned this Demon. :D

Ah, gotcha.

Yeah, no way is YOUR Demon the same Demon as the one currently in MAME. Your marquee, for starters, proves that.

Look in MAME under "GDI", however - that's where the other games by the makers of your game reside. Early 80's color/raster stuff. Hopefully you get the thing up and running, it's always cool to see these oddities surface in MAME. I could do without the BMX and Beatmania titles in future releases :)

Game ON.
