Yes.
Reason 1) It's mad fun. You pilot a little mech around and blow stuff up. Then you collect the fruit that comes from the explosions. When you get a 400 chain explosion, it is insane the amount of stuff that explodes!
Reason 2) It's got that Treasure quality all over it. Crazy characters? Check. Nonsense story? Yep. Little attention to detail? For sure (I still love the car horns going off and the people screaming when you blow up the tiny little houses.) Which leads me to...
Reason 3) Someday it will probably have that Treasure price tag. Mark my words, the DC will be bigger money on down the road. Someday people are going to wake up and realize what they missed. Here you have a game by a cult developer, with a small (less than 10,000 AFAIK) print run at the end of the system's life. There will never be a better time to buy this game than now.

The Cap'n said it all. Buy Bangai-O before it gets away, or you'll never get to enjoy in-game conversations with a blue-haired woman who communicates via pictures, or a superhero who poses as a bride at the altar in order to combat an illegal wedding syndicate.

I do not recommend Bangaioh. I have both the DC and N64 versions, and I don't really care for the game. It just seems kinda tedious, IMO. (I'm sure I will be the only dissenter, however)

Ouch...hated this shooter...I was excited to get this for DC, and was disapointed. -_-

I enjoy it, for sheer "whole-lotta-tracer bombs" factor, yeah it gets a little tedious at times but IMHO its still enjoyable and the pace it keeps is good as well

If nothing else, I like it for the sheer amount of destruction you can cause. The weirdness factor helps quite a bit too.

Was the "I Must Be Dreaming" screen changed for the American edition? I seem to remember seeing a different illustration, wherein Riki wasn't following his "mother," but a guy in what looked like a KKK hood. I wish I could provide the pic.

Actually thats the one I was referring to, I play the Import version (cause thats the one I got first) my Domestic Bangai-O is still shrink wrapped.......
That is one of the funniest "continue" screens I ever seen!
