I keep hearing some people say that the e-reader is not compatible with the GBA SP, and other people say it is.

Can this be laid to rest? Is the e-reader compatible with the SP, or not?

I believe so...it says on the packaging. Plugs in the bottom really ugly..

Works with my SP. Anyone who says it doesn't probably just doesn't know how to use it.

It works, but be careful when linking to a GCN: if you put the cable in the e-reader, you will get error messages. Always use the GBASP end to link.

It works....but it does look stupid and isn't the best shape to hold once you have a big black thing gutting from the bottom of your SP.

Well, with MOST E-Reader games, you can remove the E-Reader once the game is loaded into the GBA's memory.

I love the e-Reader. Things that haven't been made perfectly clear in this thread so far is that the link cable port is just a pass-through type thing for when it's connected to the GBA or Game Boy Player.

I have yet to find an e-Reader game where the e-Reader can't be pulled out once the game has started to run. However, this doesn't apply to the Game Boy Player. You have to leave the e-Reader in the Game Boy Player if you're playing an e-Reader game on the Cube.

The e-Reader works just fine with the GBA-SP but the lid can't be fully closed when the e-Reader is plugged into it.

That's about it.

Is there an official list somewhere? With my nefound eReader cards, I would like to actually play them. But damned if I have to keep the thing plugged in.

I wonder just WHY Nintendo hasn't redesigned the eReader for the SP yet?

The eReader SP. It could be smaller and more compact. In two pieces. One that plugs into the bottom. And the swiper can snap onto the back of the screen and swipe at the top. It makes no sense unless they just don't care anymore. I mean, when is the last time they released old games on cards? Now-a-days, it's all for use with other games. Rather than completely stand-alone games.

Oh well. Maybe someoneat Nintendo will see this post and submit the idea to the team... *nudge* *nudge*

The ereader is pretty much dead. With the exception of the upcoming G&W-e and possibility of SMB3-e series 3 and 4, thats about it for ereader, excluding future Pokemon-e releases

If by "upcoming" you mean "pushed-back-yet-again-until-sometime-in-may"
