I'm reading an article in Gamepro which says "The Saturn has just come out with a bang. Fighters galore, and you better get a copy quick!" Well being the little sega kid that I am, I knew I had to get one. I didn't care how, as long as I was playing Virtua Fighter 2.
I saved and saved until that glorious day where we went into the store to buy sega's new machine. As soon as I got home I tore the packaging off and rushed to set it up. When the screen came on my eyes lit up. I didn't know if I was dreaming or not. Could these graphics come from my little (well actually big) black box? Virtua Fighter, the one game that I really loved in the arcades at the time, was now in my home, and I didn't have to pay a thousand dollars for an arcade machine. After I beat Virtua Fighter I popped in Virtua Cop and started blasting away. All this time I was thinking, "CD games are a hell of a lot easier to put in than carts." It was at this moment that I realized that this was just the start of the future, and the Saturn was just a tiny step.
