I am in the process of collecting these points and I need quite a few more. With enough points you can earn some video game items such as a Mountain Dew colored XBox. It is near impossible to get all the points I need by myself, but with other people's help I think I can do it. We have cups with the codes on here at school in the cafe and in the 1st day they were available me and my friends acquired 30 pts, so I think with this help, plus hopefully some help from the DP community I can get enough points. I was wondering if anyone that gets these points and doesn't want them would be willing to PM or e-mail the codes to me. I can't really offer any repayment other than a thank you. Please try to take the time and help me out if you can. Any amount of codes would be appreciated.

How many points are on each bottle? Does it vary? I really want that XBOX Live starter kit. Also, if you check that XBOX controller, it's a bunch of BS. A 25 dollar controller, not even Microsoft manufactured, and it's the same aount as the XBOX live starter kit, which goes for 70. Plus, those controllers are sometimes faulty.

points vary...any size bottle has 1 point, fountain cups have 1 point, 12 packs have 3 points and 24 packs have 6 points.
also Mods, if this is an inappropriate post i appologize and please feel free to lock it. i figured it would okay because it does deal with video games, but if not, im sorry.

I don't think the asking is a problem, but the cross posting is. Seems like more of an Off Topic request to me.

yea, i posted it there the other day, but more people have already looked at it here. plus, now that anyone else who is interested in such a video game offer that does not check the off topic forum will also be informed about it and can start collecting points for themselves. i know personally i have only ever looked at the off topic forum a couple times prior to my post...it seems to get more ignored than the regular video game forum

Well, if this thing goes for cans as well, I'll be able to get an Xbox pretty damn soon at the rate I drink Mt. Dew.
And on a happier note, I just checked their site and WOO HOO! LIVEWIRE IS COMING BACK!!! HELL YEAH!!! :D

I could probably do that easily..
In reality. I drink cans. There are 3 points to a 12-pack... Let's see.....
I only have to buy 184 12-packs...... whaaaaa???
*cough*
Holy shit. At about $6 per 12-pack, that's $1100 just to get an Xbox....
That's a hell of a lot of Mt. Dew.. How long is this contest?? I drink Dew exclusively, but wow.. that's a lot of soda. 276 days worth of Dew by my calculations.
So...
All accounts codes and Dew U Points will expire on 8/18/04 at 11:59:59 PM EDT.
I have to buy 184 12-packs of Mt. Dew by August...
Sounds like a challenge to me.. (Seriously, how many people will really drink that much?)

Locking this because there's a dup thread in OT. People can still see it here, so don't worry. :)

These sort of promotionals always suck because they tend to expire before someone might reasonably accrue the points for the really good stuff.
At least with cigarettes ( I don't smoke, but family members do ) you can turn in the UPCs from years back. I remember Camel offering a pool table once.
