From what I've read, this is a Contra-like $9.99 budget title published by Majesco for PS2, GameCube and XBox. I've seen the PS2 and XBox versions everywhere I go, but I can't seem to find the GameCube version. They DO exist, though:

Yeah... I was waiting for that game to come out... and then it never did. At least not around my neck of the woods. Glad to see that it at least was released. I need to start looking for this one again. Looks fun...

The reason you couldn't find it, is because it was just released a week or two back, as opposed to the PS2 and Xbox version that were released back in November. I've got the PS2 version, and rather enjoyed it myself. But the Contra comparison is misleading. If anything, it's more like a smaller, stage driven version of Metroid, if Metroid were a straightforward action game. The only thing related to Contra is the fact that it's gritty and the main character has a gun.
:P
Anyhoo... I wonder if the controls are better on the Cube version.

Yeah, not a rarity yet.
This is a low cost third party title that just got pushed back for it's release.
Consider it one of those titles like you would find at TRU - that start at $9.99.
Not knocking the game, but give it a while to fully distribute - you should be able to find it, no problem.
