Hi, I am trying to determine if my neighborhood used game store has switched Night Trap CDs on me. I have an original 1992 copy with the following serials printed on the bottom of each disc:

Disc 1
CDRM1027400

Disc 2
CDRM1027410

Are these the correct serials for a complete set, or have they been swapped?

I don't have my Night Trap handy right now, but I'm wondering... swapped with what? I'll check later on today and let you know what it says (if nobody beats me to it before then...) :)

Enjoy your stay, and game ON!

I think that he thinks that maybe since night trap came with 2 cds they should have the same serial numbers. But since his are different, maybe the store had 2 copies of night trap and mixed up the cds. Or maybe each cd just got a different serial number. I cant halp you though because i dont have the game.

those are correct, both the original red box and the blue box versions have that same number.rest assured there was no switching done.

The situation with the store was that they had two copies of Night Trap up for grabs. One had a set of CDs that appeared to have been cleaned with a Brillo pad, and the other set was almost scratchless. I bought the scratchless set.

The sad part is that I went back for a few other loose Sega CD games (3 Ninjas & Mortal Kombat) only to find that the store had destroyed a good 70% of their loose Sega CD stock (including the titles I mentioned). It was quite sad to see a stack of about twenty-five clipped Sega CDs :(

One more thing, CD collecting for older systems is a serious pain! Most of them are in terrible condition! Give me a cart any day!

DESTROYED?

X_x

I'm not a huge fna of the Sega CD, but NO game deserves that fate!

(Well....with the possible exception of Atari 2600 Pac-Man. ;) )
