Howdy folks,
Thought this might be a good opportunity for me to start a topic of my own.
Went to a Goodwill this weekend with my girlfriend. Found a few insanely overpriced NES and 2600 games when I went into the electrical appliance section. There was a huge wall of VCRs, tape decks, and CD players. Wait a minute... thats no ordinary CD player. That's a Goldstar 3do! I wonder how much they want for it... On the back was the price tag, a little pink ticket marked $4.00!
After about a half hour searching for a controller and A/V hookups I realized the only thing 3do related in the entire store was the deck itself, with the power cord attached. No controllers, games, nothing. So, $4 later, I go home, find a SMS RF connector and power it up. Wait a minute... it seems to be loading a game! The damn console not only worked perfectly right off the bat but had a game (Blade Force, I think it was called) loaded into the drive!
So, overall, Im quite happy. Now, I have some questions for you experts, since 3do is far from my gaming forte.
1. What are the pros and cons to the different makes and models of 3do? Is the Goldstar unit a good one?
2. What are the genuinely fun games in the 3do library, and where is the best place to get 'em?
3. My Goldstar unit is in awesome shape except it seems to have a missing piece in the side, or at least missing some sort of expansion bay cover on the right side. Is tehre anything that was supposed to go into this expansion slot?
Many thanks!
