Looks interesting and it's coming to my neck of the woods. I'll probably go and check it out.

Clutch Cargo on April 12?

I think I'm going to go to that one. I get out of work at 7, and it will take atleast 45 minutes to get from Detroit to Pontiac...so I'll probably show up to the late one.

edit: erm, nevermind. For some reason I thought you were from Michigan. LOL Anyone want to meet me in Pontiac on April 12?

Nope I live in Cleveland. Our show is on the 14th. If you go, let me know what you think.

Thanks.

Looks like there's going to be one near me as well (Sauget IL on April 4). I think I'm gonna go and see what it's all about.

Thanks for the link!

I took part in a Gameriot thing last summer at Lollapalooza. It was a fun time, altough it was blatantly obvious that their show is gearned toward teens, with heavy emphasis on the "Gameriot Girls", two midly attractive ladies who dressed up as gaming characters and danced for the crowd. -_- The announcer was a tool, trying to sound hip and cool. I'll bet he hasn't ever played a game outside of Madden or NBA Live.

The tournaments were neat, although the only one that I entered was the Soul Calibur II one. This was before the game was in stores, mind you. The guy who won the tourney simply pwned everyone he faced. And it was random character selection until the final four. I think I made it halfway through the field.

I thought the most fun was getting to play as-yet unreleased games.

It's coming to Cincy this Friday, the 9th. If I didn't work, I'd go.

And the ratio of cool free stuff then was very small.

The only cool freebie I scored was the lanyard I got for participating in the SCII tourney. Nothing unlike the ones we get at work.

So, did anyone check this out over the weekend, or are going tonight?

I'm gonna take a pass afterall. Clutch Cargo is about 45 minutes away and I couldn't find anyone to go with me.

heavy emphasis on the "Gameriot Girls"
Y'know, I've gotta admit that I'm stunned that these aren't "Gameriot Grrlz." These guys have instantly lost all credibility with me. LOL (Just kiddin')
