I just won this game off Ebay, and should receive it in the next day or two. I have read good and bad reviews on it, and it seems to come down to personal preference whether you like it or not. It sounded like a very cool idea for a game, so I decided to get it. What are everyone who have played this game's opinions of it? Thumbs up or thumbs down? I know someone who has it, and he said it is very fun and entertaining--I mean who wouldn't want to be a mosquito and fly around and suck blood from people, while avoiding pesticides and flyswatters etc.!?

Overall, I like this game, but don't *love* it. It's a quirky idea with pretty solid execution. Simple and unique - easy to pick right up and enjoy. However, it can get a little frustrating at times, especially when "battling" the humans. I do appreciate the exploration and puzzle aspects that are hidden under the main premise. Certainly worth having this one.

I liked the Chaos bosses in Sonic Adventure. I like the name Final Chaos when you battled him as Super Sonic. 8-)

Hopefully I'm not the only one wondering where the fuck that came from...

Anyway, back on topic: I enjoyed Mr. Mosquito when I had a ps2, it's not the greatest game in the world, nor a game you'll pick up and play often after your initial run-through. It certainly stands on it's own in terms of gameplay though, and the premise alone is enough reason to have it in the collection. A cool game to pull out and show friends and a solid game in general. If you dig that sort of quirkiness check out the following, also for ps2: Gitaroo Man, Mad Maestro.

I liked it, although the technique for drinking blood is a little awkward. I played it for a couple weeks after I got it, and haven't really played since.

Well holy fuck what the hell happened. My computer has been fucking around with me all night with digitpress. I meant to post that on the cool bosses thread. :embarrassed:

Here's what I meant to say: I'd give Mr. Mosquito a thumbs up. It's got a cool story and the control is very unique and original. I'd recommend it.

Carry on, nothing to see here... x_x :eek 2: O_O [/quote]

LOL! It's oki, we just thought you might have lost your mind or something! You redeemed yourself! It seems like most people at liked this game, which is good, since I kind of blindly bought it! I don't usually blindly buy games that I have never tried, but no stores seem to have this game for sale or rent! I turned to good ole Ebay, and the reviews of others! I'm excited to try it out now!

I liked Mr. Mosquito. I think I got hung up on the level with the pillars of smoke and the breezy wind that blows you around. While it's true it won't become a regular staple of your gaming library, I know I've showed it to all of my friends at least once and they've all had a good laugh over it.
