I don't think I remember seeing this topic anywhere, but what systems for sure had OFFICIAL wireless controllers? I've got a few, but i"m DYING to get some for some other systems! Currently, I have wireless controllers for the following:

3D0 (non-official, Docs)
Genesis (official)
PC Engine/Duo (official)
Gamecube (official)
NES (non-official...Acclaim)

And I know of wireless controllers for:

Saturn (official)

What I'm hoping to find are GOOD wireless controllers for the following systems:

PSX/PS2
XBox
SNES
N64
Dreamcast

Anyone know of any good wireless controllers for the above 5 systems? Preferrably not MadCatz....everything I get from them breaks without fail. And are there any OFFICAL wireless controllers for any of the above five?

The vis had wireless controllers as the standard ones.I've heard that wire ones were for sale via catalog, but I've never seen one so as far as I know, it's just the wireless ones.

Yeah, I left it off because it was such a given :)

Anyone know about the five I asked about?

But of course.....

In both the PS2 as well as the XBox, i highly recomend the Logitech wireless controllers. They have good range and feel pretty right, though the XB controller is shaped kinda weird (think a stretched Type-S) They can cost a little bit oh Moola, but are nice, sturdy additions to your wireless setup.

:::EDIT:::
I believe that they are both Fully liscensed, and supported 3rd party controllers. The XB one might be "official", and the same most likely goes to the PS2, since they get "official" brands on the headsets, keyboard combo controlers (the one for EQ), and something else that i cant remember at the moment.

As you mentioned the problem with the Logitech (for PS2) is that it's too darn expensive and doesn't memorize macros or anything.

I tried some remote PS2 controllers called "Hip Gear" and they royally suck. I had to return 2 sets before I got a working set and those were all brand new. Even the set that works forces you to push the buttons too hard so that you end up having finger and hand cramps after 20 mins of usage. Definitely a waste of time and money.

You forgot the very FIRST wireless controllers -- the HUGE bulky monsters from Atari for the 2600. :D

I imported Hori wireless controllers for the PS2. I'm very happy with them. When I'm using them I don't notice they are wireless, which I guess is the highest praise. And they rumble :P

I got these because I've only heard negative things about the Logitech and Mad Catz wireless controllers. There are no official ones for the PS2, although I saw some store brand ones at Gamestop.

The Logitech controllers are indeed fully licensed by Sony and Microsoft. Hey, if you're seriously in the market for one and don't mind digging, check EB Games used controllers. I got a Logitech PS2 pad there for a mere $7.99! It was marked as "generic po ps2 controller" or something like that.

Just backing up what everyone else is saying. The Logitech controller is the ONLY licensed controller for the PS2, but there is an interesting catch most don't know about. If you use any other wireless controller for your PS2, it automatically voids your warranty. Don't ask me how they would figure that out unless you told them, but it's nonetheless a good bit of info to remember.

I've got a set of Wireless SNES ones made by Acclaim, they seem to work somewhat but if your not aligned with the snes ports where it plugs in, you'll get unresponsive control

im running out of space in my gameroom, and these cords are forever annoying me with tangles, i've started rewiring all my systems into a pelican style hookup box. But would love to have all wireless controllers that actually work O_O

So what are the best ones? Who was the only maker of the DC cordless controller? I'd like to seek one out.

I have the Gamestop brand wireless controller for the PS2 and I highly recommend it. It works perfectly, has great battery life, and is cheap in price. I also think its very comfortable, more so than the regular controller, and especially over that brick of a logitech controller.

Does anyone have any experience with the Datel wireless PS2 controllers? I think they have the macro function, and they look fairly sturdy.
