Doh, can't edit. Also I was going to add that I'm pretty sure I'll be there, but it sort of depends on how much work the othodontist wants to do on my mouth.

I set up the whole thing last week and got a sweet deal through cheaptickets.com. They were the only travel site that listed the Marriott connected to the convention center. Bringing the old ball and chain with me this time.

Well I live here so I will defenetly go. It's about a week before my birthday too.
I'm planning on going again this year, as long as I can get some friends to go... that shouldn't be a problem, although my friends can be kinda cheap at times ;) .

I doubt I can keep anyone at home this time. They all want to see what I have been doing the past few years. And now they do not have to sit in a car for hours on end just to see it.

Just bought the plane ticket :D Missed last year - my first miss since 1999 - so I'm pretty jacked this time.
Best of all, no family going this time! Don't get me wrong, I love my wife and kids, but in years' past what we do is plan a trip to Vegas around CGE. So the wife and kids had no interest at all in the show and wanted to stay on the strip, whereas I would stay at the Plaza with Altairboy. After a day of expo stuff I was of course then obligated to go do things with the fam and drag poor Altairboy along as well. It was literally like trying to take two vacations at the same time. Not easy to do. Don't want to do it again. I initially griped about the show being moved to SJ since Vegas is an easy drive from New Mexico, but if I can make it into a solo journey every year then San Jose might not be such a bad thing after all.

For the record I was not dragged along, I went willingly. In fact, if I didn't go with Pantechnicon and family I most probably would have spent my CGE evenings in my hotel room playing video games (which is what I did at CGE2K3). So, hanging out with someone else's family wasn't so bad. Besides, Pantechnicon's kids are sooo cute!

Looks like Tune and I are in Cali at 11:05 AM via Northwest Airlines. I intended on taking a cab to the hotel or something of that nature, I didn't reserve a car since we're staying at the Mariott. I had no idea that Santa Cruz was only 17 miles away, and therefore did not intend on driving anywhere.
I'm sure we'll all figure something out.

The Casino arcade was more old school, I don't recall seeing and rides or anything like a Wonderpark would have. There's a section that has old games, and a section with new ones, too. The other arcade, which wasn't as cool, had a mini golf course inside and pool tables and stuff. The boardwalk also has an old wooden Rollercoaster(which is awesome, BTW) and some other rides, too.
Do keep in mind that this is what I recall from being there about 6-7 years ago, but I'm sure most of it is the same.

Ive got a handful of flight info for peoples and so far it appears that I can (If so desired) pick up from the Airport and not miss anyone. Im working on making sure that ive got the lunch gap on Thursday covered for a few of the earlier flights as well.
So like I said earlier, let me know flight info If you'd like an airport ride from San Jose Airport I'll see what I can do for you. PM's are advisable, as I can then get exact flight info so i can make a spifft flo-chart and the goodness.

I read about this in the August issue of Game Informer and had no idea this was happening down the street from my house!! I'm there with bells, whistles, and a big clock around my neck!! LOL
Anyways, if you guys are having troubles finding a place to stay, I've got an open futon if someone needs it, and I'm less then a mile away from the Convention Center.
One last thing, arcades? You think the Boardwalk has a good arcade? I laugh at you people! Sunnyvale Golfland has everything the Bemani enthusiast will need. The newest DM and Guitar Freaks (DM 10th/GF 11th) As well as Beatmania IIDX 9th style, DDR Extreme, and 4th mix plus. They also have a great selection of shooters and racing games (Initial D Version 3 anybody?). SVGL is about 15-20 minutes from the convention center depending on traffic, while the boardwalk is about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. If you guys want to see the cold beaches of Santa Cruz then be my guest, but the arcades aren't too appealing.
Oh and hello first post :)
