From the PSX Rarity thread...I know that at QoF and Dangerboy are interested at least, but who else in IL is up for this? CR mall has a great arcade, stocked with games like Bust-a-Move, Drummania, Guilty Gear XX, Raiden Fighters, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, SoulCalibur 2, Taiko no Tatsujin, DDR...plus a few game stores of course. Only addy I could find:

Sure...just give me a week or two advance notice so I can ask for that day off. :)

Btw, the only arcade games I'm good at are House of the Dead and Super Punch-Out so please don't laugh at me. :embarrassed:

Actually I was thinking about doing some thing simlar a month before VGS'04
at Safariland in villa park,il(or even enchanted castle in lombard,IL)
speaking of The 2004 video game Summit: anybody planning to coming to the show again this year.

I'm up for the VGS but I don't know if I'll be in England during that time. When is it again?

OK, looks like I'm heading over there next weekend, April 3rd or 4th. Depends on whether or not my ride has to work, but he usually gets Sunday off so it's highly likely I'll be there on the 4th. Can't wait to hopefully meet some DP faces and bang on some arcade drumsets. ^_^

I don't think we actualy decided on a date for a DP gathering in IL.
anyways, those dates are bad for me my job has me working on saturdays
and sundays right now.
If you give us a good date in about two weeks or so in advance them we could request it off .

Taiko no Tatsujin...is something ive been wating to play ala arcade.

OK, this has been shelved until further notice...i.e. I still really wanna do this but lack a means of transportation.

p.s. Chunky: Yeh, it's impossible to replicate the arcade experience of Taiko at home. In the arcade it is AWESOME.

Yashiro, I'll be at the Road of Pwnage Revenge there on Saturday... you should try to be there too. Have you met many of the dx'ers? It'll be a good chance to.

Wow, that definately looks like something I'd be interested in, as I recently got into collecting older games (though I'm probably not as hard core as most people who will be there LOL )

Shoooooot.... too bad you didn't make it. OK, so DDR touranments are pretty boring but I played a lot of fighitng games there... mostly Guilty Gear. I'm getting better (Though I've only played for 1 week). Luigi won both the Singles and Doubles tourneys. Mostly everyone from ddrdx was there. Afterward a few of us went to Doug's house to play IIDX and Scatagories and then we went to Escher911's house. It was pretty cool.
