Hello...
I have the chance to finally buy secret of mana for the snes, cart and manual only, but really mint cart!
The person asks $35.
What do you think? Is the game worth it?
Thank you!
regards!

You could likely get it off ebay for $20... I got it for less than that a couple of years ago.

I love the game so I'd say its worth more than that. But I still wouldn't pay that much. ;) I'd say 20-25 max for cart only. I agree with Evan...check ebay and I'm sure you can find it for a better price.

Its a great game, I haven't been surfing the " bay " much lately but it use to go for that regularly. Although if you stick it out you can do better on the price.
First RPG I ever finished and got me into the genre, so much that I even got the Super Famicon sequel, and I don't know Japanese.... lol

Seems high....I paid less than that for a mint boxed complete one this month.

I am inclined to say no. I traded my complete copy (fair condition) for a TG-16 with hookups and complete Bonk's Adventure. Haven't looked back since.

WORTH? yes
Can you get it cheaper? yes
Should you buy it at 35.00? no
I'd pay 10.00 at most, cause I know I can find it later. Ive come across 2 Final Fantasy 2's - 1 at 5.00 and one at 2.50. Keep looking!

Well, looking back at some recently completed auctions I'd say that $35 is probably an average price. Sure, you can get if for less if you spend some time looking around and you're a bit lucky but I also don't think that you'd be over-paying if you paid $35 either.
Keep in mind that most people here are a bunch of cheap bastards (no offense but we really are) and refuse to pay for a game unless it can be had for a fraction of what its actually worth. The only exceptions seems to be for uber-rare games and games who's value are on the rise and a hefty profit can be had.

yes this entire site is full of cheapscates. Personally, I payed 50 for mine (sealed, lol, but that was when it was released). I was just playing it last week. So who cares what you pay for it, any game you'll continue to play 10 years later is priceless. Definitely buy it, you wont be disappointed.

I personally am glad that I didn't pay more than I did for it. I hate the weapons charging system, I hate the menu system, and I hate the glitches. I don't hate the game outright, but I would much rather play something like Illusion of Gaia or Zelda III.

It's called "frugal" or some shit. :D
Pay what you want, the game is fun and one day while hunting (if you hunt) you will find it for 5-7 and you can sell the worse one for 35..

I'd say no.
Then again, I thought it was a crappy game and traded it in for 25 cents store credit.
Of course, it is a relatively minor Square game. No matter what the quality, you could probably find someone willing to pay $40+ for it.

I got mine along with a boxed SNES Model 2 and a number of others games, like Yoshi's Island (dead battery), Super Mario RPG, Lufia, and a couple others (Legend of Mystical Ninja and I forget what else). $150 for all that, and the Model 2 was, once again, BOXED.
So maybe you should start looking for games in lots ;)

An excellent game at any price...if you cant find it. For a PAL version, I dont know. But if you havent seen them around just buy it!! 35 bucks is like going to McDonalds w/ 5 or 6 buddies. :-P

I have to say I can be fairly cheap too but to be honest I got Secret of Mana for around 30 because I saw it and wanted it and felt it would be played enough to be worth the price of admission so to speak. I could have found it later on the cheap but sometimes later isn't an option.....at least to me.

Considering the PAL version is becoming exceedingly hard to find in decent condition, $35(euro's?? u.s.??) sounds reasonable but by no means a bargain.
:hmm:

its an average price, since it isnt complete, make sure that you have the chance to test the game to see if the battery is still functioning. You can do better, but you can also do much worse.

I'd say go for it, especially considering it's PAL. I got the US version a few years back on eBay for a bit under 30 bucks. It was for a complete copy, but the guy couldn't find the box. He gave me free shipping, but I don't know if that really made up for it... :/ It was a good deal for eBay at the time, so I have no regrets (too bad the manual and map are so worn, though). It's a wonderful game, so I would've paid more just to have the chance to play it. I recently bought the Japanese soundtrack too because the music is so damn good.
