I don't know if it's the Windows XP or not but when I tried Handy (Lynx emulator) the game seems to run about 2/3 speed compared to real Lynx. I have 1.4GHz P4 and 1GB RAM. Turning sound off or changing video setting didn't improve.
Compared to my old PPC 9600/200 (200MHz), 128MB RAM and Mac OS 8.6 Handy seems zippy on that Mac.

Are you using the latest version of Handy (0.90 I believe), and if so, give your system specs. Something is wrong because I am running a P3 1gz and was running it full speed w/sound in XP. Now I run Win2k and there is no difference...still full speed.

Yes it is 090 and my full specs is:
generic no-name mobo with Intel chipset (onboard paralel and onboard USB is fried, dunno how it happened)
1.4GHz P4
1GB RAM (PC-800)
3 HDs totaling 200GB (about 50GB free)
1 internal DVD-ROM
cheap 64 bit soundblaster clone
Radeon SSR 32MB (PCI)
USB 2.0 card
10/100 NIC (disabled)
external 16x10x24 USB 2.0 CD-RW
external 6x4x6 USB CD-RW
USB scanner
cheap speaker set (under $20 cheap)
HP 945c (via USB)
HP Laserjet 4 (via USB with paralel to USP adapter)
56K v.90 Zoom modem
I also have Zone Alarm 3 (free version), UD, and WinMX running in the background normally. I've disabled these with no difference. There's no antivirus (my PC's well protected from external source). Networking is disabled as I currently don't have any PCs to network with.
According to a setting, MY PC has been running nonstop for nearly 12 days (power failure last time) so maybe I should try rebooting.
