I finally got my fourth Chaos Ring today, but it took many tries at the bonus stage to get it. Has anyone actually collected all the Chaos Rings and gotten the good ending? This is the only Sonic game I've never beaten (other than the DC games), and it's actually not too bad once you get used to it. I will say that this is the only cartridge game that I've ever had lock up on me on a regular basis, it's like they didn't bug test it enough.

Does anyone think that getting all the rings really really hard? I mean the bonus stages in Sonic 1 were annoying but fairly easy, the sonic 2 bonus stages were hard but fair. These bonus stages are nearly impossible! Not only do you have to get to them with 100's of rings because they double as your timer, but there are so many places to fall off and loose the stage. The bonus stages are fun but very very frustrating.

Incidentally how many Chaos Rings are there? I've seen refrences that say five and some say six.

Ever try using Game Genie? It's possible the Genie could work somehow. It's a matter if figuring of the GG goes between the game and the 32X or if it goes between 32X and Genesis. Maybe 2 Game Genies to get the true 32 bit cheating power? :lol:

God knows I've tried to beat Knuckle CHaotix. It's hard!

I've beaten the game with the good ending but it's been a while. It's a cool picture of Sonic and Tails on the Tornado Biplane. Personally I like the movie moster ending better. I loved the bonus stages though. If you get all the chaos rings the bonus stages are wireframe! Talk about impossible!

One thing I've never been able to do is get first place on all the trakcs in Virtua Racing Deluxe. I've always wanted to unlock the reverse tracks...

Back to Knuckles, my only suggestion is to turn off auto save and only save if you've gotten a chaos ring...

Yeah that's what I've been doing, but it takes so long to get through a stage with all the rings to get to the bonus stage. I'm going to try and glitch the cart in an attempt to trigger the hidden debug mode. If I'm successful I can either view the good ending or practice the bonus stages over and over.

Just out of curiosity, how impossible is the final bonus stage? The fifth one is bad enough!

I DID IT!!! I got all 6 Chaos Rings! That has to be the toughest thing I've ever done. Not only were the bonus stages hard, but you had to get through the whole level first without losing your rings (so you had enough time on the bonus stage). There were so many places to fall off it wasn't even funny. I do feel a huge sense of accomplishment though.

Well I just beat the whole game (I got the little Sonic picture. Yippie!). It's really odd, the bonus stages were nearly impossible, yet the rest of the game was super easy. I think I only died once the whole game, and that was by a stupid accident. The whole game seemed very short, but was enjoyable. The colors were awesome (nice seeing Sonic with a decent color pallet), and the music was the best I've ever heard in a Sonic game (Marina Madness was my favorite). I wouldn't recommend going out and buying a 32X just for this game, but if you have one already get this game! It shows some of the intersting stuff that the 32X could do. Too bad 95% of the other games suck! :)
