This Sunday I have the chance to buy alot of video games from a guy who usually sells at flea markets. Unfortunately, I have no idea what he'll bring (even he doesn't know, he buys and sells so much stuff he doesn't keep track). For all I know it could range from pong machines to ps2 games. I'm knowledgeable in early nintendo stuff, nes, snes, etc. but I have no idea what other systems and games go for. I was wondering what others thought would be a good general price to pay. Genesis games at $1 a piece (excluding sports)? $10 for pong? Just skip on atari stuff? :P Any opinions would be greatly appreciated! :)
Oh, one thing he did mention having was a gold system, he just couldn't remember what it was. The only system I can think of is the N64, but if anyone knows of other gold systems let me know. Thanks!

did he mean the system itself was gold? Or did he mean a "Gold System"?
The Neo Geo has two versions of the home AES system, silver and gold. Gold just meant it game with a game, but they're both black and look identical. If he's just saying gold system because it says it on the box, SNAP IT UP IMMEDIATLY.

Maybe it's a yellowed SNES system. LOL
Anyways, is this guy just meeting you to sell you SOME games or does he want to rid himself of them all? If he wants to sell them all you may be in luck and get them pretty cheap, if he just wants to sell you some you may be shit outta luck...Ive dealt with flea market regulars before and it's not a pretty sight

I'm sure he'd like to get rid of them all, but I doubt he would take less than he paid for them. I don't think he'd sell them for something outragious simply because of all the stuff my dad has bought from him. This guy has literally storage buildings full of stuff to sell, and he likes to sell in bulk.
For example, the last couple times we've seen him my dad has spent around $500 each time for boxes and boxes of old magazines. Check out what we're selling on Ebay (username clc1954) and I bet all of the items came from this guy, $10-20 per box. Sometimes 1 magazine pays for the whole box it comes out of. :-P I'm hoping to get the same deals with games, but I don't know what he'll price them at because he's never sold them before. That's why I'm hoping to get a rough estimate from people on the boards as to how much I should pay.

You mean a game system made out of Bundy Gold?! Hot damn.
Best bet on pricing is to price all games as they were exactly the same, over system, 2600 to PS2. $1/2 a game? I dunno... you know the guy better than we do.

Well, I'm back from my visit with the guy and I have good news and bad news.
The bad news is he wasn't able to get back far enough in his storage buildings to reach the video game stuff.
The good news is he did remember the name of the gold system... neo geo. Now I just have to wait for him to dig everything out. LOL

Bump from the dead.
It's been a while, mostly because the flea market guy moved a couple states away and doesn't come up much anymore. Yesterday he came back, but again without any video games. :o However, he did have good news. He told me to come down and spend a day going through his storage lockers looking for game stuff (He has 7 of them, and can only fit about 1/4th of one in his van at a time). I'm pretty psyched over this, just to see what all this guy has. He also told me he had a friend that was going to sell him a neo geo gold system for $40, and I could buy that one along with the original one he mentioned 8-) Yay!

If I were you I'd be on that shit like bees on honey. Get 40$ and BUY it. Grab whatever carts you can if he happens to have any they tend to be a tad bit expensive depending on the titles.
Man.....I gotta start up with fleas again. Although the place out here in AZ sucks bad. And it's so hot outside.

LOL I'm seriously thinking about taking two vehicles when I meet him. Mostly because I figure my dad will buy a ton of stuff. Although, even he doesn't know what he's got... could be a building full of nes games! X_x *creams*
