Right on, enjoy that console. What you've got there is one of the greatest game systems that have graced our little orb in space.

Though I would like to suggest heartily Jet Grind Radio, King of Fighters '99 or Evolution, and GiGa Wing, you've got quite a nice start there!

I bought it the day it came out. Despite the fact I have Gamecube and Xbox, I still play my Dreamcast the most. The Sonic Adventure series is great.

Nice haul... although it seems that you got a lot of bottom feeder's when it comes to games (but you did get some pretty good ones in there, like Crazy Taxi, Star Lancer, and THPS2). What's with the six extension cables? Are those controller extension cables or something? Sounds a little odd to me...

Anyways, if you're looking for good games, I'd highly recommend: Street Fighter Alpha 3, Virtua Tennis, San Francisco Rush 2049, Grandia 2, Skies of Arcadia, Unreal Tournament, Quake 3, A Mouse and Keyboard to play the previous two games with, Sonic Adventure, Soul Calibur, Chu Chu Rocket, Wild Metal (actually, I'm the only one who likes Wild Metal, so you're probably better off avoiding it), MDK2, Rayman 2, Capcom vs. SNK, Jet Grind Radio, Looney Tunes Space Race, Shenmue, Bomberman Online and Power Stone 2. There's no shortage of great games for the Dreamcast.

Also, if you get tired of the commercial games, you might want to browse through DCEmulation (http://www.dcemulation.com)... they have tons of freely available emulators and homebrew games that you can freely download, burn to disc, and play without need of a mod chip. There's some good stuff in there, like NesterDC (NES emulator), SMS+ (Master System Emulator), and many, many others.

What took you so long? :)

Like everyone said, Jet Set Radio is an absolute [cheap] staple for this system.

The guy probably got his extension cables at TRU for $.99

the extension cables are for the controllers. Well, sisko my sister has a sega dreamcast and well i wanted one too, so i got this off of ebay for $73.00.

Now, what you need to do is download Nester DC. In case you dont know it's a NES emulater that runs on the dreamcast. 2nd best thing to playing the actual games on NES. Also some games you might want to check out are Ikagura(sp?), Guilty Gear X, Toy Commander, Cannon Spike, and Puzzle Fighter.

If you like tennis get Tennis 2k2. Also the Gundam game is good.

Do you even have to like tennis to love Virtua Tennis or T2k2?

I'm not much of a sports fan at all... but I dig Virtua Tennis and Blitz :)

No. The tennis is pretty cool. I also second the gundam game. IMO its better than the crap they put out on the PS2

There is no point in owning a DC if you don't hvae virtua Tennis. :P Seriously tohugh, get that game before any other games. Then get the game with the maracas and play it while eating tacos.

Haha... maracas and tacos... what a mix! :)

I have the Samba game but not the maracas... (I'm not too sure I would actually enjoy them.. being odd to me and all) and I'm not really into the
DDR stuff... but I'd like to have a set of 2 hard mats for workout material! hahaha

Welcome to the wonderful world of Dreamcast.

Many good games have been suggested. Let me tell you the ones I play constantly (I am sure that some of these have been mentioned):

Shenmue
Virtua Tennis (or Virtua Tennis 2k2)
Sonic Adventure
Jet Grind Radio
Capcom vs SNK 2 (import it, it is a must have fighter)
Sega Bass Fishing
Sega Marine Fishing
Sega Rally 2 (I think you already have it)
Grand Theft Auto 2
Spawn: In Demon's Hand
Powerstone (1 and 2)
Crazy Taxi 1 and 2
Ikaruga (you can only get it through importing or burning)
Half Life - this is the real, full version game with the original HL and the extra scenario Blue Shift in which you play as a security guard(pm me if you want this one)
PBA Bowling 2001 beta - the only bowling game I can think of for Dreamcast (pm me if you want this one as well)

The Dreamcast is a great system with exceptional and unique games. I stumbled upon it in a garage sale two houses down from where I live two years ago, and I'm so glad that I bought it. From all the 'dead' systems I have, this thing is getting played the most.

Games which weren't mentioned:

Racers: Metropolis Street Racer (great, fantastic atmosphere and control), Test Drive Le Mans, Test Drive V-Rally, F-355 Challenge; all great racers with great gameplay!

Unique are also the traditional 2D shooters: Mars Matrix (the best!), Gunbird 2, Gigawing, Gigawing 2, Bangai-O (all of them are timeless 2D shooters)

...and yes, Virtua Tennis and Tennis 2K2 are absolute must-haves, no matter if you like sports games/tennis or not, you'll love them if you like great games.
