I just checked the partition I used JUST for romfiles and emulation related stuff, and I am shocked to say I am using over 44GB of space out of my 160GB hdd total! I'm just curious as to how much space your collection may be taking up.

A paltry 2GB but it's mostly 16 bit and older games. I don't have any 32 bit or 64 bit cart ROM or any CD images other than a few DC emulator disc image.

^_^ Until recently, mine had their own 13GB hard drive. You can probably guess that they outgrew it. :)

mine are on about 30-40 cd's.... they used to be on my hard drive(12 GB), but after having to delete mame to make room for raine, then delete raine for snes, and so on, I gave up and pressed em all. just sucks cuz I have to pull them all off any time I wanna play anything, but at least I got more room for por...I mean games! ;)

44 gigs! Holy Christ! That is a huge hard drive you have there. You're entire hd fits TWICE in the size of your rom sizes.

Let me see, the games take up about ummm, 10 gigs total. Most are on cd.

Sad in a way, good in anthor.

Since losing everything on my hard drive 6 months ago: about 7 meg (I have all the NES/Fami/SNES/SFami Final Fantasy games plus Bubble Bobble NES).

Before (including MAME roms): about 1 or 2 gig.

There's no way I'd end up with 44 gig of stuff right now, as my puter is a paltry 7 gig HD. Of course there are CDs, but I haven't burnt any games on them.
