Xbox joystick..has this ever happened to you?

It's probably nothing and me just being paranoid, but I have to ask if anyone else has had this happen to them. I booted up Vice City today and the controller plugged into the 1st port would not function. I pressed start on the 2nd controller and it went into the game however. I turned the Xbox off and reloaded the game. Now the 1st controller worked fine. Has anyone else ever had a problem with the joystick not detecting? This is the first and only time this has happened to me (so far) but I want to make sure it isn't a problem with the system before my 14 day return policy is up.

never happened to me. i would say if you can still return it and you feel unsure about the system you might want to get it switched for a new one

Naw, I've never experienced any probs with any XboX....but I did have that happen to a brand new PS2 the first time I fired it up. It was one of those limited edition Turismo packages.

Yes this has happened with mine like twice. I think it's cause of the pull apart part of the controller.

I had tripped over the controller plugged it back together, and it happened. I just unplugged it, blew in it, and re-attached it firmly. Not terribly uncommon I believe.
