View Full Version : Regarding the PS2 Eyetoy...

There's a very cool demo in this month's Playstation magazine demo disk where he's showing games in development, like one where you hold a wan and can use it to cast spells and stuff like that. It really looks like a sort of half-step toward virtual reality. Perhaps the industry is going to evolve in a way we didn't expect, where you don't have to wear goggles and whatnot.

Anyway, to any Eyetoy owners out there, I'm planning on buying one of these but I am worried about the lighting...my game room only has regular light bulbs over the TV area, just a couple of overhead bulbs and a lamp or two, not real bright lighting. I've heard the Eyetoy doesn't work so well if there are lighting issues, does it need super bright light?

Input and opinions would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

i have heard of people having this problem, but i have an eye toy and 2 regular light bulbs in the room and it works fine. if you have decent lighting in the room i cant see you having a problem

I'm now told that the demo they showed was a leadup for the new Harry Potter game they are going to release for the Eyetoy. Sounds pretty cool, but too bad I've never read any Harry Potter books or seen any of the movies.
