The man who plays Wakka and Khimari in Final Fantasy X is also the voice of Bender in "Futurama?"

The woman who plays Rikku in the same game is also the voice of Raven on "Teen Titans?"

The man who plays Rin in the same game is also the voice of Spongebob Squarepants?

The woman who plays Shinra in Final Fantasy X-2 is also the voice of Bobby Hill in "King of the Hill?"

Your turn.

David Hayter of Solid Snake fame has also written X-Men and voiced a ton of other stuff.

Almost the entire main MGS crew also lent their voices to Eternal Darkness.

Many of the Eternal Darkness staff lent thier voices to Ninja Gaiden.

Michael Bell was in Eternal Darkness, Ys, and voiced like, half the Transformers on the original series.

Richard Doyle is Ninja Gaiden's narrator was also the back up pilot in Air Force One.

Earl Boen, Dr. Peter Silberman from Terminator 3 can be heard in several video games...

Now to just find Kevin Bacon....

There's a minor list available at http://www.voicechasers.org/VideoGames/ .

(I actually sent a message to Harry Shearer a while back asking if he contributed anything to Balls of Steel, but it seems it was someone else doing a darn good Mr. Burns/Smithers impression.)

Interesting! But, it kind of destroys the magic by knowing that the character in your game is a trash-talking robot from a Matt Groening cartoon.

Cam Clarke has done a great deal of videogaming voice work: Jack Archer in Robotech: Battlecry (not to mention the Robotech cartoon), Kessen II, Liquid Snake in the MGS series, not to mention tons of other games/ 'toons.

I knew about John DiMaggio and Tara Strong (who's also Timmy Turner in the Fairly Oddparents and Dil from the Rugrats), but Tom Kenny as Rin? Holy crap, that's too cool. Haven't played FF X-2 yet, but... dammit, can't remember her name... Pamela Segal Adlon, or something like that.

Phil LaMarr was Vamp in Metal Gear Solid 2.

Leonard Nimoy narrated Seaman, but that's pretty obvious. :P

Patrick Stewart was the voice of Jean-Luc Picard since A Final Unity. LOL

Erm... yeah... I'm running low on ideas... wait, here's something. Who here loves the announcer from SNK vs. Capcom: Chaos? *raises paw* He's also the voice of Demitri, not just in this game, but throughout the entire series of Darkstalkers. I got this info from the GameFAQs boards (which I'm not a member of, just to clarify)... his name's Hiyama Nobuyuki, and here's what he's done as far as his legacy goes:

*** Video Game Roles ***
Joe Higashi (in every Garou Densetsu / Fatal Fury game starting with Garou Densetsu 3, and in every KOF game starting with KOF'95)
Kaiza Isato / Gowcaizer (in Choujin Gakuen Gowcaizer)
Ichimonji Batsu (in the Justice Gakuen / Rival Schools series)
Wilhelm (in Xenosaga EPISODE 1 ~Der Wille zur Macht~)
Siegfried / Nightmare (in the Soul Edge / Soul Calibur series)
Guts (in Berserk (for Dreamcast))
Link (in the Dairantou Smash Brothers series)
Adult Link (in Zelda no Densetsu: Toki no Ocarina)

*** Anime Roles ***
Joe Higashi (in Battle Fighters Garou Densetsu 2, THE MOTION Picture Garou Densetsu)
Kaiza Isato / Gowcaizer (in Choujin Gakuen Gowcaizer)
Shishioh Guy (in Yuushaou Gaogaigar and Yuushaou Gaogaigar FINAL)
Tetsuya (in Shinkon Gattai Godannar!!)
Shiro Amada (Kidou Senshi Gundam 08 MS Shoutai)
Jouichirou (VIRUS -VIRUS BUSTER SERGE)
Shin (Cowboy Bebop)
Rai (Ginga Sengoku Gun'yuuden Rai)
Yellow Jaguar (Jinzou Ningen Kikaider THE ANIMATION)
Black War Greymon (Digimon Adventure 02)
Seraphimon (Digimon Frontier)
Skyfire (Transformers Superlink)
Rampage, Spiderbot (Beast Wars Metals)
Hiei (Yuu Yuu Hakusho)

Don't sue me, I gave credit. *cowers*

I can't believe you guys have forgotten the most (in)famous of the computer actors/voice actors: Luke Skywalker himself!!! Ah, how can anyone forget the time back when Wing Commander came out with Mark Hammill as the center of attention? :D

John-Rhys Davies also starred in those games. He's a lesser known celebrity, but this plump Englishman also starred in Raiders of the Lost Ark and was most recently the hot-headed dwarf in the Lord of the Rings films.

Dana Gould (a comedian who went on to write episodes of The Simpsons) was the voice of the smarmy gecko in Gex, until the release of Mad Dash Racing for the XBox. Billy West did the voices of all the male characters in that game, including Gex.

Finally, Carlos Alazraqui was the original voice of Spyro the Dragon. You may recognize him as one of the many dim-witted cops on Reno 911. He was also the voice of the Taco Bell dog and most recently portrayed Denzel Crocker on The Fairly Oddparents. He's a much more versatile voice actor than you would have expected after watching those dumb Taco Bell ads.

Dude, that's Rocko you're talking about! Who else here watched Rocko's Modern Life? That was the greatest show on Nick back in the day... you know, after Ren and Stimpy. Carlos is also Winslow on Catdog. Didn't know he was Spyro... or on Reno 911... or the Taco Bell Dog... or even Mr. Crocker... nice. 8-)

I gotta mention Greg Eagles, renowned Metal Gear talent, best known as Ninja from Metal Gear Solid (also DARPA chief Donald Anderson) and Peter Stillman in MGS2. I'm too lazy to copy and paste his entire history, so here's the IMDB link: :P

The same voice actress (I don't know her name) that played Princess Sasami in Tenchi Muyo! did the voice of MOMO (100 Series Realian) in Xenosaga.

...That's all I know. Anyone know how to sign up for jobs like that?

I believe quite a few of the voice actors in the Clone Wars cartoons have already impersonated those characters for LucasArts' Star Wars games.

I also thought it was funny when Michael Dorn turned up in Emperor: Battle For Dune, but that was an on-screen cutscene role, not really a voice over.

Jane Mulgrew or whatever her name is, (the lady who played Katherine Janeway on ST: Voyager) is the alien doctor in RLH.

And dont forget David Ducovney and Adam West who both had roles in XIII.

Phil Hartman lent his voice talents to Blasto for PSX.

Michael Dorn, besides all of the ST games, has also been the narrator for Vikings, a PC game that came out a few years ago, AND he had a part in Gabriel Knight, just like Mark Hamill and Tim Curry.

Malcom McDowell has done quite a few games also -- some Wing Commander games, Star Trek: Generations, and Curse of the Mummy (an Interplay PC game).

Was'nt Tidus from FFX and Fry from Futurama voiced by the same guy?

Another 'blink and you miss it' role -- the same guy who played Nelix in ST: Voyager voiced a minor charcter in Star Wars: Knights of the Republic.

Jean Reno of "Leon the Professinal" fame, lends his voice in the upcoming Onimusha 3 as Jacque Blan. Same with Japanese icon Takeshi Kaneshiro-san of "The Returner" fame reprising his role from the original Onimusha.

Michael Ironside of "Total Recall" fame plays Sam Fisher from the awesome Splinter Cell series.

Alright you primitive screwheads here is one for ya, Bruce Campbell played Pitfall Harry in "Pitfall Beyond the Jungle" on the PSX. More to follow :D

Game ON,

No this was a common misconception. The guy who did Tidus did walla on Futurama. A lot of people thought that walla is a character in the series but its actually a term for background voices, like the mumblings in a crouded resturant. Billy West did Fry's voice in Futurama.

Michael Biehn (the commando from the original Terminator) and James Earl Jones were both in Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun.

Kari Wuhrer (from the TV show Sliders, and lots of B-rated movies) played Tanya in C&C: Red Alert 2. "SHAKE IT, BABY - SHOW ME THE WAY"

Looking at Command & Conquer: Renegade also pulls up a lot of interesting stuff...looks like the guy who played Havok has done voice-overs for Maximo and other games as well as the Transformers & Family Guy TV shows. Dude - Sakura from C&C:R was the female reporter from Lucasarts' The Dig...

That Mendoza guy from C&C:R has been in just about everything - G.I.Joe & Transformers movies, Police Academy, Power Puff Girls, and all sorts of games from Baldur's Gate II to Final Fantasy X and X-2. He was also Capt. Blue from Viewtiful Joe!

IMDB does rock!

I'm surprised no one mentioned Ashley Angel of boy-band fame. Did I say fame? I meant something else....

Anyways, the assclown of "O-Town" did the voice of Alex in Lunar: TSS and SSSC.

I'm ashamed I know this..... :(

Various anime dub voice actors have been in tons of games. For example voices in Pokemon were in Valkyrie Profile, Unlimited SaGa is full of them, as well as Xenosaga.....

Indeed, that's all I did. (I believe my message started off with, "How can I say this? My reverence for you is such that I never expect you to respond to this message.")

Anyway, Planescape: Torment also has some familiar voice actors, but I forget their credits at the moment.

I wish it was still on just so they could make a game based on it on the Cube or Box. A 3D Rocko game would probably be a lot of fun.

I didn't realize he was Spyro either. Though now that I think of it, the voice WAS familiar! But the Taco Bell dog? Yo quero a drink.

Thanks much for the link to Harry Shearer's site. I'm surprised that he's so open to feedback. I just dropped him a line asking him (among other things) if Matt Groening had ever contacted him about a project he planned to do after Futurama had been cancelled. Groening had wanted to create an animated rock concert, and I thought that Spinal Tap would be perfect for that kind of role.
