Hmm ... all of a sudden, every big seller and their dog seem to be selling copies of this previously extraordinarily rare game on ebay. And videogameimports.com have a stack of copies (including several sealed ones!!)
To me, this can only mean one thing ... that somewhere, somehow, there is a relatively cheap source of these in Japan. But I'm damned if I can find it!! Is someone selling stacks of these on Yahoo Japan or something? I wanna know!

Wow...must have missed that! Maybe a warehouse find? There's only 2 on eBay (unless they're spelled wrong) and none in the completed items. And I don't see any for less than about $250. Doesn't seem TOO common to me....

OK, well it is an easy one to mis-spell, so I can't remember if they have all been spelt right. But I have seen at least eight or nine in the last couple of months. And videogameimports.com has a literal stack of them. The seller interfm has sold at least two in the not too distant past.
In fact ... here's one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=8226&item=3084906390
But it doesn't seem to turn up in a search of completed auctions. Weird. Not a bad price either. Almost wish I had bid.
Anyway ... I didn't mean to suggest it had suddenly become "common". Notice I said "previously extraordinarily rare" .. and that there must be now a "relatively" cheap source. In these terms, "relatively" cheap could mean $150 - $200. What is strange is that I've only seen maybe one or two a year before now on ebay .. and now the combination of all these so close together and videogameimprts.com makes me very suspicious ...

its not very common in japan too. Yahoo Auctions only finds one copy of it.
See the search result here (http://search4.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/search/auc?p=%BF%B4+%CE%EE+&auccat=40507&alocale=0jp&acc=jp) and the auction here (http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f19091545). It is not very cheap either...

I just wish I held onto my copy of it, all those years ago... (Ended up trading it + 4 other games for a Turbo Duo. WHY?!) It had the spine and everything!

Same here. I got my copy off of Yahoo Japan (no spine, but had the memory card sticker) for lik 22,000 yen. Pricey.

hmmmm ... oh well. Maybe it's just trickle down ... all the hardcore gamers buying sealed copies from videogameimports.com and letting their open copies slip onto the market. Or just chance ... but I am still suspicious at seeing so many in such a short period of time.
