Pretty good buys!

Ogre Battle 64 (Complete) $25 N64
Aidyn Chronicles: TFM (Complete) $13 N64
Pieces (Cart) $5 SNES (R7!! :D This is I guess technically the rarest thing I own...)
Kendo Rage (Cart) $3 SNES
The Legend of Kage (Cart) $3 NES

All at gamestop.

On my gamestop note, this one has TONS of nes, snes, and dreamcast games. Like at least 100 NES games, 150 SNES, and 200 DC games. They got a huge retro dump, so if anyone needs anything give me a holler and I might be able to work something out!

At Gamestop I got

Liberty or Death (SNES) loose but mint 8 dollars
Sub Terania (Genesis) 2 dollars

My Gamestop also got a bunch of old stuff in. They are proceeding to get rid of all their old stuff, and a few locations were designated as centers for all the Gamestops in the area to send their stuff to.

PC - The Beast Within - £2

Didn't realise it was worth anything at all, but some quick investigation revealed it to go for anything between £15 and £30. Sweet!

But I am going to lend it to a friend first, since he is a big fan of werewolf horror mystery stuff. Which this appears to be.

Haha, that's funny :)

Alright, I spent exactly $2.52, as I managed to keep myself from buying that, uh, RAD looking GBA/e-Reader combo at Best Buy ($60 'fore taxes) or anything else from that store.

The $2.52 (after taxes) went to:

A handheld, backlit (but pretty dim unless you have the lights off) Pac-Man handheld...it's a flickscreen game (ugh) and is essentially one of the Tiger variety but with little colored sections behind the LCD so that each color shows up as some color or other. Speaker's too loud. Control is pretty bad, but so was using the joystick on the last Pac-Man unit I encountered :P Starting a game actually isn't as easy as you might think looking at it...there's five buttons and a d-pad; the d-pad is on the top row, next to it is the button you use to start or pause a game, but to the right of THAT is a button labeled "New Game." This button does not start a game...I found that I could change the level number with the D-pad at some stage and pressing this button would set it back to one. The bottom row of three buttons (bottom means under the little Pac-Man art in the center of the unit) has one that I honestly have no clue about, labeled something like "check player" but I haven't figured out what it does. This is from MGA Entertainment, c. 2001.

This particular unit has some quite noticeable scratches along the black border for the screen, and some on the transparent orange case, but besides that border everything looks fine. Looking at the back of the unit in a dark room with it turned on (the backlight - that is, four green LEDs) is a cool effect. The unit also has some wacky make of battery that I've never seen before -- obviously what it was sold with.

Mine looks just like this, only Pac-Man and orange (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3088557890&category=62053), and This Auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3185442374&category=2541) has the same Color FX brand name but looks a whole lot different...more interesting if you ask me :)

The other $.39 or so went towards a pretty darn old National Semiconductor (!) 850 calculator, one of the kind that has the red bubble LEDs. It's very light, unlike my old TI calculator of the same type, and I think that adding the 9 volt battery would about triple the weight of the thing :)

This auction is for the exact same item. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3088932162&category=58042) I was right about the age of the calculator, which is nice :)

I normally don't pick up junky calculators/electronics, but today's stuff was different.
