ONE dreamcast game wont work....

went pawn shopping today and picked up the atari anniversary dreamcast game...it is in very good shape, just a few very light scratches. all my other games work fine (about 8 games) and some are alot more scratched than this game.

anyways, it won't boot...it just stays at the dreamcast logo...i tried to go into the bios, then put the disk in, it tries to read it over and over again. ONCE it game up with the second logo (where it says SEGA), but then it kicked me back to the bios...what gives? i don't want to take it back...it was only $5 and is a far drive, and the guy was an asshole x_x

If a Dreamcast game won't boot, there is a scratch on the boot sector.

The boot sector is on the inside 1/4 inch of the disc. You can tell the disc is a different color there.

You'll need to try buffing that area out . Sometimes a toothbrush with a little tooth-paste will do the trick .

Try to find the offending scratch and then just buff that area a little.

nope didn't work, thx though. oh well, at least all i need is a loose copy now :) how is this game btw? is the tempest port any good? that's the one i was most interested in.
