AP-Boxer Lawsuit
Hall of Famer Arguello suing video game makers
(Los Angeles-AP) -- He got to beat Mike Tyson in the videogame
version of a boxing match. But Hall of Fame boxer Alexis Arguello
(ahr-GWAY'-oh) isn't happy about it.
Arguello is suing Electronic Arts, Nintendo and Sony -- saying
his name, identity and boxing style were used in the game
"Knockout Kings" without his permission.
The game allows players to use real boxers or fictional
characters.
Arguello tells the Los Angeles Times he hasn't played the game,
but his son has. The boy told him the Arguello character beat Tyson
in the game, and Arguello responded -- quote -- "in your dreams."
Arguello won featherweight and lightweight boxing titles in the
1970s and 80s.
LOL At least he's modest.
