Do you think that WoW will kill the userbase of some (if not most) of the today's MMORPGs?
Blizzard is a very popular and competent developer, their games are very well made and this is much more than you can say about many MMORPGs released these days.
Considering that most players didn't have the money and the time to have more than one paid account on these games, I think that the migration of people to this new RPG can be a hard issue to old games. What do you think?

Yes and no. People will still play the big ones. But if there was a MMORPG that was on the brink it will die.
Is it going to be free to play online like all the other stuff is? Then again is Diablo free?
Wow is the only reason I am thinking about upgrading my PC.

It'll find its niche, but won't make megawaves like EQ2 will. I'm just pissed that I didn't get into the beta! :o

Unfortunately, no. It will cost US$9.00-12.00 monthly to play. They said it will run smoothly in today's PCs but one more reason (pretext) to buy a new, expensive graphics card is always good. :D
I never played a game like this, but a RPG set in Warcraft universe should be very good.

EQ is a goldmine for Sony! There are so many players already addicted to it or people who invested so many of their lifetime to it that they simply can't leave. It's almost a money tree. I don't know if it is a good game because I never played it, but to have so many people in its servers there should be something interesting happening there.
