I remember when Game stop used to have boxes...

...for NES/SNES/Genesis games.


of course this was ~3 years ago, and I wasn't really into collecting, so for the NES I only picked up a Zelda Box (beat to hell), Skate or Die, and a Zoda's Revenge box.

...I remember seeing so many awesome boxes in my mind (a few megaman's come to mind, along with Snow Brothers :angry: )


...althoiugh for genesis, I picked up boxes for every game I had whlie they had them (13 of my 16 games I bought from them I picked up the boxes :D)

I remember when I used to work at GameStop I fished a Tetris box out of the trash. Kinda pissed me off they'd just throw the boxes out but there wasn't much you could do with them if the company wanted them gone. Honestly though so few people traded in games with boxes at our store it wasn't much of an issue. We'd get Genesis games complete but we actually put those out in their boxes because they were plastic. And then if there was a box an employee wanted we'd just take them... I replaced a few of mine that way.

Sometimes you can still find them at gamestops... just gotta look around.
