I got this game after all the rave gamer reviews I'd read of it...and no one really seemed to mention QUITE how hard it is! @_@

Man...20 levels of excructatingly precise combat, jumping, swinging and more! In other words an instant classic! It's kinda like Rolling Thunder, Ninja Gaiden and Bionic Commando, all combined onto one game! You fight through absolutely brutal levels full of traps, cheap shots, spiked walls, floors, and ceilings, and other nasty surprises, swinging on a ninja rope, using a sword, and tossing ninja stars as well. The controls are DEAD on (though they take a bit of getting used to) and the graphics are excellent for a "developed for GBA" game.

There are two modes of difficulty available, Easy and Normal, and if you beat all 20 levels of normal (like I just did) you get a Hard mode unlocked as well. Sadly, unlike Ninja Gaiden, the story is sub-par at best. But the gameplay MORE than makes up for it...intense and addicting, and you won't regret those unlimited continues for a change!

The game also auto-saves after every section you beat. If you want to quit mid-play, do NOT pause and use the quit menus, as for some reason, it puts you back at the very beginning of a stage, even if you're saved at the boss! I made this mistake once! So painful.....

Anyway, for those of you that like intensely hard platformers, this one will rock your socks! I can't recommend it enough! It took me almost a solid week of play to get through most of the game.

Also, while it's published by Konami, I found out in the credits (doesn't say it ANYWHERE else) that it's developed by Hudson Soft....so all you Hudson fans out there...yet ANOTHER game to snag!

Yeah, I love it.

Thats why I bought a bunch of them, when I heard they were hard to find.

Its a great game. Even with the GB Player, and my GC controller.

You have to very agile fingers!

Mines' for sale, in the classifieds, for anyone looking for some action.

Otherwise, enjoy!!

Ninja Cop was the surprise hit of the year on the Game Boy Advance. It was a satisfying, refreshingly old-school gaming experience.

Agreed. We need more games like this. No having to sit through long stretches of Videogame Movie Theatre, or wandering through training levels for an hour. Just press Start and go.

I really wish Sega would port the real Revenge of Shinobi to the Advance. They're running out of SNES ports; might as well move on to the Genesis.
