What with emulation being suddenly thrown into the lime light again, (mainly something to do with the Xbox), I was wondering how you folks feel about emulation?

Do you feel that the laws and guidlines regarding video game emulation is unclear? Should the law be loosened with regards to downloading and emulating retro classics for your own use? Or should the laws be tightened further?

Are you for emulation because you feel it keeps gaming classics alive, or do you think its a cheap way of obtaining 'unobtainable' classics and as such reducing there worth?

Do you emulate? Is there a difference between emualting games for you own nostalgic uses or is it just another form of piracy?

Lets us know.

No offense Fairlight, but this topic has been beaten to death here before, many times over.

If you're into emulation, drop by the emulation forum here at Digital Press and let's talk shop.
