Wow, the game sells for $218.00 and he still rapes you on the shipping?
Link (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3087389792&category=62053&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=1)
$13.50 for priority mail shipping plus mandatory insurance of another $3.50 to $8.00.
Thank you for your order now please bend over sir :fist:
Oh, and if you want express shipping you have to spread them on top of it. That'll cost you $29.50 plus the mandatory insurance. This is all for a lose cart mind you that only weighs a few ounces.

Ebay has a policy against excessive shipping costs,

I really think that 5-8 dollers for insurance is a neccesity $214 dollers, would you want your xman coming broken, and have no cash back if it breaks. also he states:Shipping will be via USPS, unless the buyer specifies a preferred carrier in which case shipping charges will be different than stated.

Im pretty sure insurance isnt that much on a 200 dollar item. I emailed the seller.
"13 dollar shipping?!?! Are you kidding me? The game sold for 218 bucks and you are still going to rape the winner on the shipping? You are sick."

Insurance for a $214 item is $4.20, however the auction says "$13.50 PLUS Insurance" There is no way in hell that an Atari cart will cost anywhere near $13.50 insured to ship, let alone $17.70 :hmm:
I shipped an insured PS2 for $21, and I think that weighs a whole hell of a lot more than a dinky 2600 cart.

Yep, this guy is new to the boards. Maybe he has not visited the ebay insanity forum yet and seen what everybody considers stupid. Or maybe he doesnt care because somebody is willing to pay that shipping ? @_@

I wonder if the high bidder will pay. Zero feedback and all....

I've always been rather confused on this issue.
If you have a loose cart that sells for a couple hundred dollars, why not offer free shipping? I mean, really, you're getting two or three or four hundred dollars for one cart, it doesn't seem like it would hurt that much to eat $10 shipping.
But then, I guess on the other side of things, if you're willing to pay two or three or four hundred dollars for one cart, then I suppose you wouldn't care about paying $10 more for shipping.
There was a point in there somewhere, but now I seem to have lost it.

i think the point you were trying to make was that X-MAN looked like shit anyway- he could have put a stamp on it and mailed it- it probably wouldn't have affected the label condition so he should have sent it free.
oh, yeah that wasnt the point you were trying to make....

The seller gets a little extra if they dont make free shipping. But maybe stating shipping was free would have made the suction a tiny bit higher.

Why not just box it up and stick an Express Mail ticket on it? Next day shipping is like $13.50 up to 1 lb. and I believe still comes with $1,000 insurance on it. x_x

He also calculated postage for a FIVE POUND package. I don't see that happening, either. He also has the certified mail option checked, and included in the price, but doesn't state that. That's not insurance, either, and adds another $2.30 on to the price.

Yeah, well I can calculate a $100 shipping fee for a single Atari cart if I include a couple of bricks in the package too. 5lbs for one loose Atari game? I don't think so.

COMPLETELY off the subject.....BUT....I couldn't help notice how an 1/8 inch slip of the finger turns AUCTION into SUCTION. BWAA HAA HAA!!! I'm not cracking on spelling or grammer! Really! I just thought that was freakin hilarious!!!

Hmm.. maybe this explains why he thinks the package would be five pounds..
What's a video game? :eek 2:
